Johnny Majors excelled at hiring great coaches, but he could not keep them for various reasons.
Does he have the luxury of waiting? We got recruiting to do....hard to recruit offensive playmakers when there is no OC or defined offensive philosophy.
And there it is... concessionIf Osovet is such an innovator, let’s just roll with him. If he turns out to be the next Sean McVay, awesome. I’m just beginning to think continuity and fit are most important to CJP.
I think Pruitt needs to hire whoever he feels is going to be most successful in the position, but if he hires Osovet expect the narrative to be that he’s wrong until he’s proven right. If Osovet is such an innovator, let’s just roll with him. This honestly makes the most sense, he's been searching for the potential second option if Freddie is locked down by a NFL gig.I think he is waiting on Freddie to see what he does. I would think that is his top want. He is plenty close with Pruitt and Friend so fit is definitely there if he wants to coach college vs any official NFL offers he gets
I would honestly love to see some of the people on these boards be in charge of a multi-million dollar business with their bipolar reactions and see how far they go.
The man is taking his time to make what he believes is the right decision. Our new OC should like what he sees with the new recruits and possible two 5 star OL coming in next year. He needs a teacher and a recruiter.
Is it really because the last time I checked we got every recruit we had committed and even picked up a commit from Bailey without an OC.... Pruitt must be struggling.... oh and we are probably going to get a 5* OL in Darnell Wright.... but look out because we are struggling without an OC.....
Don't forget Eric Gray. Stuggled so much without an OC, he said, no thank you. Oh, wait...Is it really because the last time I checked we got every recruit we had committed and even picked up a commit from Bailey without an OC.... Pruitt must be struggling.... oh and we are probably going to get a 5* OL in Darnell Wright.... but look out because we are struggling without an OC.....
Your assumptions are no different than anyone else’s but part of being in management is managing a product’s public image and people’s perceptions. He has the right to take as much time as necessary but coming out and making a statement in the very beginning like: “We are going to take our time and interview a lot of candidates to find the best fit for our players and coaches. We will have a hire in place by the time Spring workouts begin but we are going to be thorough.” That isn’t difficult, instead we get the occasional sarcastic comments about the worth of an OC or dismissive short answers. Instead we get endless speculation about who is being interviewed, possible offers, and the appearance of it being an undesirable position. Leadership is about more than just coaching at this level
Harrison Bailey is a 2020 commit....that ish ain't written in stone. OL ain't too concerned with the OC. CJP can tell Wright that we are running power football...and he can be ok with that. Where are the some playmakers want to know what kind of offense you will be running. Is it really because the last time I checked we got every recruit we had committed and even picked up a commit from Bailey without an OC.... Pruitt must be struggling.... oh and we are probably going to get a 5* OL in Darnell Wright.... but look out because we are struggling without an OC.....

Did Tim Worley give any advice on making mandatory drug testing from the NFL and how you shouldn't run from the test and take a suspension?Players sitting out of bowl games and coaches bringing them anyway, and other players' with the attitude that any bowl that isn't the championship bowl is meaningless, has been really bothering me. I'll never forget my dad telling my brother, "if you aren't going to leave it all on the field, DON'T GET ON THE BUS." I just read an article my dawg husband sent to me and it expresses the feelings from a former first round NFL draft choice, so I'm going to share it here. I know it's written by a UGA player - don't @ me!
