AFter researching Canada more I have come around on him some still not wanting him to be the guy though because you hear too much about him not getting along with others.

LSU appears to be his only hiccup. He could be good for JG. Peterman and Brisset were 2 guys that struggled processing the game and getting the ball out and then excelled in his offenses. His offenses put up really good rushing numbers. I didn't know he was at Wisconsin the year they had Monte Ball go off. He was also the Northern Illinois OC for Michael turner. Never really seems to hve explosive pass game but more about being an efficient pass game.

Has this forum already debated the merits of Sark vs. Canada? If so, could someone point me to it? If not, anybody care to chime in their thoughts?

I feel like Sark seems he would be a better fit with what Pruitt is trying to accomplish with the team as a whole. Canada feels like it would be a total shot in the dark. I can't even begin to try to predict whether or not he would be successful here.
Sark would leave first chance he got. Canada is a lot like Pruitt and a better fit, IMO. Recruiting edge goes to Sark, Xs and Os go to Canada. Again, just my opinion.

Chargers/ravens winner goes to the SB

Best two teams imo
Yeah, I feel like unless Jackson starts slinging it the Ravens being run only will cost them. Unfortunately they get arguably the worst matchup for them first game too.

Healthy Gordon & Rivers with a very stout defense who has already seen the Ravens fancy running attack...hard to pick Ravens

Word is Canada is least likely to get along with Pruitt. And all his presnap motions would have or dumber OL leading the league in fakse starts.

Lamar hasn't been bad at all passing. Just not doing it much. IMO he looks way better in the pocket than Vick ever did and has potential to be a very good QB. I would say he also looks better in the pocket than Josh Allen and Dak Prescott and a few other of his young contemporaries. I think they are smart to go run heavy for him as a rookie though. Not many teams can do that for their rookie QBs as successfully has they have. Of all the rookie qbs this year though I like him and Baker the most. Darnold showed flashes too.

Anybody who doesn't give the 90's Cowboys O Line props as one of the greatest of all time needs to take their Emmitt souvenir shades off.
It really is a crazy take, I have never heard anyone poo-poo that OL before...I remember all those games and the holes you drive a semi through. Talk about revisionist history...that is some cold war era Soviet propaganda revisionism right there.

I have been saying for weeks the raven were going to the SB but I agree with you this is a bad matchup. I have always felt it's hard to be a team twice when they are as good or better than you.

Agreed, I just don't wanna see the RG3 effect. One hit and Jackson's season/career can be completely altered, 147 carries with 7 starts is a lot.

Baker has been impressive as hell.

SMH..somebody was in his face as soon as the ball was hiked all the time. If not for his "freestyle" talent he would have gotten killed.
You saw some highlights and formed a narrative. It was the run and shoot. Holding blocks while your guy dances behind you was the science of it. Sanders was great but playoff games like against the Packers where he ended up with negative yards? Not in the highlights.

Outside of Bama and Clemson fans, does anybody really care who wins the NC this year? ESPN and the Bama Network can talk it up 24/7, but nothing about it is must-see TV.

Good post

I content we want Bama to win because it adds to the chances Saban hangs up the whistle but other than that gambling is the only good reason to have significant interest

That's true even with guys who just stand in the pocket though. I mean he's the human joystick, you gotta let him run. But yeah, that's probably too many carries and I would guess that will start to swing as they get more comfortable with trusting him to throw more.
