This place convinced itself Saban was pedestrian last night. I’m not surprised the attitude toward coach moose knuckle 😆
He should win every game he’s coached cause he signs the #1 class every year. Overrated!

I use to joke around with some bama fans I knew and I would always say that... I can’t believe there’s people that actually believe that😂

I think it’s funny how everyone uses Doug Matthews, Houston Kress, the kid that washed Fulmer’s golf balls during the ‘98 championship season or fetched his Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I can fully believe that Pruitt is being slow played like a sucker probably due to his gruff interactions in the past at Alabama and Georgia. If he promotes someone on staff he’s going to look like an idiot because he’s kept the fan base and media at bay for what—to say “oh damn people I just decided Will Friend was the answer at OC.” Bullcrap.

Matthews statement about it being 95% done is crap. He doesn’t know anything. I trust 24/7 and the Rivals guys. The hell with all the offensive style and if he and Pruitt will go golfing and hold hands. You hire a guy that can put up points and yards. I don’t blame Yurcich for going to Ohio State..anyone else with a brain would go to Ohio State. We are short on talent here...what OC wants to come to get fired after one year. You are almost going to have to overpay. It’s easy when your Yurcich—your from there and Ohio State is loaded with talent. If I’m Pruitt and he can get an OC and the hold up is bringing another staffer you make the move. Why should anyone on the staff be untouchable?

Doubt he would be slowplayed due to his past interactions. Dude will show up to there house.

Honestly though, There is valuable OC's out there still and he's doing fine recruiting without one. We all complained when precious coached and administration made a quick ire hire and now we are complaining because he's doing an actual search and going through the interviews.

Shotgun on the goal line isn't unusual at all.

It's not always the best strategy, especially after you can't score the first three downs and you know the QB is running the ball. I don't mind trying it once or even twice, but I never understand putting your runner 5 yards back when you need a half yard.

If he screws this up that’s not going to look good for him going forward. I’m not saying fire him, but it’s a big strike.

Aren't you a gem.

If we’re being “slow-played” as you put it, it’s probably got less to do with Pruitt’s past and more on Pruitt’s insistence that Friend be involved heavily in the schemes and game planning.

I honestly felt as though Pruitt was wanting an innovative OC. I don't see Chaney as innovative. Maybe he is the guy but just doesn't seem like the right guy.

If we are being slow played, I feel it is by Freddie Kitchens waiting to see if he acquires a NFL coaching gig. Hopefully he won't get an NFL opportunity and becomes OC at our fine university. I really like what he's done with the Browns this year. He seems to be very creative.

He better move quick—time is of the essence. I know we live in a “what have you done for me lately” type of world but Tennessee really knows how to cluster f these coaching searches. I know Phil has achieved god like status but damn this isn’t an early bird special. Our roster ain’t great...and yes I get the impression Pruitt is a ball breaker and a task master but you don’t take this long to deliver Will Friend.

He is goofy. Not sure he would be respected by all of his players.

Plus, whatever you think, I don't think he runs a system that would succeed in the NFL.
He may be goofy, or not like a lot of other coaches, but his players have always loved him and had nothing but good things to say about him. Obviously that may not translate to NFL players but I personally don’t see why it wouldn’t

I guess that's why they got turned down twice the last go around?

One there was a perception that talent was lacking. Now that is gone and coming off big yr.

2 - Kelly was always going to west coast.

3 - frost didn't turn them down. He wanted his entire staff and Florida said no. They could have hadn't him if they would take his staff

I'm pretty sure we would hve loved a top 3 of Kelly, Frost and Mullen instead Mullen was out top hope and their 3rd on list.

I doubt frost would have ended up choosing UF over Nebraska even if UF said yes to bringing his whole staff
