I would agree with Kendall Briles and Kyle Shanahan but I would argue that Jim Mora Jr and Lane Kiffin built their careers on their own probably because of their names after their father’s successes not during them. Forgot about Dave Shula, that is a good example. He was terrible on his on. Well done good sir

Yea but Mora got his start with his dad iirc. I agree with Kiffin, I was saying if you reversed it Monte worked under him and it worked it pretty well when he did. Which obviously isn’t the same but similar imo

I am not sure about them necessarily failing but several have caused issues within the staff: Steve Spurrier Jr, Sean Snyder, Mike Stoops, Rob Ryan

End result for the win...or not. David Shula failed as the Cowboys OC. With the same players Norv Turner coordinated to two straight Super Bowls. Then doubled down on that failure as an epically bad HC for the Cincinnati Bengals. Then he got out of football! Mora kept getting HC opportunities and failed (and got fired) at every one of them. Just cuz your daddy succeeded in spitting you into your mom doesn’t make you a success when it all dries.
