We are the Vols, somehow, someway, we will screw this up. I am probably wrong but I can see them waiting on an answer from Yurcich only to see him take the job at OSU and during that same time of waiting watching Sark take another job.

Oh boy, another “Tennessee gonna screw up this hire”. Tired narrative.

Good move by Quinn to name himself defensive coordinator and this will be Atlanta's third offensive coordinator during Quinn's tenure although I thought Sark would get another season with the Falcons.

@cardvolfan

They have worked on same staff, Pruitt is a relentless worker & recruiter. Sark as a HC was the same.

Like I have said before both are smart but aggressive playcallers. Sark is a qb coach by trade, and fills that void.
I like the idea of Sark as OC.. big job to focus on, so I would as well like to see Weinke shift over to QBs. That would make a lot of sense to me.

Sark or Yurcich, both are qualified and make sense as the guy and make the “search” reasonable since they had responsibilities before officially accepting our position. I just hope one of them is our new OC!

GO VOLS!!!

I think he knows Sark. He is interviewing "others' he doesn't know.

He may have talked to Sark a few weeks ago. Of course, Sark's situation has changed now.
Does any other traditional power in cfb want to hire Sarkisian? I just really don't understand the allure with this guy.

Sark’s a vaunted QB’s coach.
Yeah...now I'm worried.

Vaunted Has Latin Roots

The verb vaunt has been used since the 15th century with the meaning "to make a vain display of one's own worth or attainments"-in other words, "to brag or boast." Over time, vaunt developed the meaning "to boast of (something)," as in "the promotional flier vaunts the natural beauty of the area," and gave rise to the adjectival form vaunted. The history of vaunt and vaunted leads back to the Latin word vanus, meaning "vain" or "empty." (The word vain itself is also a descendant of vanus.)
