I hope. Look, I'm not saying I don't want Yurcich. I think he's a great play caller and could be a homerun. But if he comes here and he and Pruitt don't get along and we have another Helton situation, it won't matter how good he is.An offensive guy that gave him autonomy. Pruitt hasn’t done that with Sherrer so I’m sure he’d recognize the difference. He’d leave him to do his thing.
Which begs the question... how long would Tennessee fans be content with 9-3 seasons with losses to FL, UGA & Bama regularly?
Fuente needs a sitch like Mehlans at UF to realize his full potential. The didn’t think Mullen was a good fit at UT either. Still not sure he’s a championship coach, but I agree that his recruiting is questionable. UF is a great spot for him because there is loads of talent around him. He can develop it. But he isn’t pulling in top 10 classes at UT. Not his personality. Justin Fuente is the same way. Not a rah rah guy with a great personality and will relate to young kids to come to his school. Just develops the talent he can get.
I'm not on the Sark train. I'm on the "please hire someone you trust to run the offense" train. If that's Yurcich, then great.Boy you’re on the Sark train hardcore aren’t you haha. It is Yurcichs offense, not the HC, that has been documented many times.
One thing we know for sure...Yurcich was interviewed and apparently it went very well and the Sark stuff has all been speculation from message boards and Dan Harralson and friends. For all we know he’s not even a candidate.
No I wasn't just talking about his super bowl prediction. You don't think he and guys like dandy don taunted on the field? Or defenders didn't stand over a player they just leveled? It definitely happened. I bet the ancient Greeks were taunting each other in the original Olympics too. It wasn't invented in the 80s. It's a natural side effect of competition in some people. And it's mostly harmless. Can it go too far? Absolutely. But holding a football out and talking trash to a player who can't catch you at the goalline is pretty harmless. It's kind of interesting though that you and Ulysses think taunting is horrible but don't like the targetting rule which is designed to prevent actions that are in fact harmful. For the record I think ejection is too stiff a penalty as well, but I think what they're trying to prevent is important. Far more important than preventing players from having hurt feelings over a taunt.
Yeah, as soon as Hubbs or Lowe mention Sark I will believe it. Otherwise it is bored fans trying to connect dots that might not be there.Boy you’re on the Sark train hardcore aren’t you haha. It is Yurcichs offense, not the HC, that has been documented many times.

I think it makes sense on more than just that one level. But yes, that's what makes his hire seem even better. He also checks the experience box which is very important also. For sure. But if you take away the “he’s comfortable with Sark” thinking - which we don’t know to be true - then Sark coming here doesn’t make any sense.
That’s the only thing holding this rumor together.
This is the truth of it I think. I wish it wasn't though.Boy you’re on the Sark train hardcore aren’t you haha. It is Yurcichs offense, not the HC, that has been documented many times.

I could've sworn I saw you in cave drawings around the time of the original Olympics.OK, I admit to being old, but I don't have firsthand info on the original Olympics.
I believe you have me mixed up with someone else. I didn't post comments on targeting yesterday. And the only opinion I remember ever posting on it is that it's applied inconsistently.
