We used to buy them at roadside stands on the way to Emerald Isle, but that was when we’d gotten to central NC. I’d like to grow some, but I haven’t figured out why they’re not found around here. Spring starts too late? Doesn’t get hot enough? I’ve gone through all my gardening books, and nothing rally jumps out at me. I’ve got a dark fence facing south/ southwest which ought to get some heat.Would be interested if someone could post a picture (not google) of a fresh Lima, wouldn’t you?
