Never argued there was a grand plan going on, just that your guesses were no better than anyone else’s. I don’t think Pruitt has a clue but I am hoping he does

I think people want to assume Hubbs doesn’t know anything when it makes people we *like* look better, but when the information is positive he’s a genius.

In this coaching search in particular, people rag on Hubbs having no information because they *want* to believe there’s this hidden plan being worked out in private - and not that this entire search has been a fustercluck.

There may or may not be any plan going on behind the scenes but it's pretty clear that this AD isn't leaking much in the way of real info. to reporters. I don't think that's deniable.

That’s the thing tho it’s not just our Ad/Staff. You have to think of any candidates agent, family, staff etc. something would come out about them even if it’s basically nothing.

It very well could be a coach waiting until after a bowl game/ NFL but i am sure we haven’t offered the jobs to anyone but freeze and yurcich

Fwiw im hoping that yurcich “turning us down” was really just not right now but let’s talk after the bowl game. Nothing at all has came out after him so that really could be a possibility.

Yes but there’s a difference between what Pruitt is thinking and what the athletic department is doing.

You may well believe that’s Pruitt has his sights on one guy and we’re waiting until after the NFL season or something. But as soon as those Pruitt “thoughts” are acted on in some form, with an interview or otherwise, it will get out.

Neither. He literally has said nothing. Has given no names or definitive details about said candidate. I just think he’s helping fulmer out by basically saying “relax we got this”.

Mathews isn’t going to be wrong about anything no matter who is hired or not based on his comments.

He said they know who they’re going to hire. That’s either true or it isn’t.

My point was simply that people who claim they know what Pruitt is thinking or what his gameplan is are spreading false info. The ONLY way info is getting out is when talk progresses to offer. And there's a lot of false info there, too.
