I am just talking about the talent and current roster we have compared to our rivals... They are signing better talent overall. Since you are looking at rankings, where have our recruiting rankings been the past 3yrs and what has that translated into on the field and at the end of the season with our records? I don't remember us competing for a SEC championship, or even a bowl the past few seasons... I am not angry at all, I am just tired of sunshine pumping and simply stating the facts from now on... So you think we who we are picking up this season compared to who we play on our schedule (and who they are picking up currently) that next season we will see a huge jump in our win vs loss column? Sure a few teams we play are losing their QB's (Mizz about to get upgraded), but this is not going to change anything drastically. We unfortunately need some top athletes in certain positions in order to take that next step and right now I don't think we have it. Maybe our staff will develop talent a little better than they are currently recruiting and in a few years we will be at another level. But for 2019, no, sorry...

you go after who you want to go after. period.

if you want to sign top guys, you have to be willing to play the game. precahing to the choir, i know.

but i have no problem with swinging for the fences. eventually, as we get a little better at this, we'll start connecting on more of them.....cause remember we're connecting on some....wanya, ramel, mcollough, harris, Lampley etc.....those are legit players. and we get wright, crouch and gray, thats' three more.

keep swinging. figure out how to prioritize and establish relationships with some of these guys we were in on later, sooner. how do you go the whole cycle w/out establishing a relationship with a noah cain? rhetorical question. but no reason that our initial contact is on the last weekend of the cycle. that's a mistake somehwere along the way. they can fix that.

anyway. we have a good class right now. it's probably going to get better before it's all over. it could have only gotten better had we gotten any of the guys we swung on. the class doesn't get worse cause we struck out.

We should be welcoming 17 new VFLs. Congrats to all the signees, I am looking forward to watching yal succeed at the University of Tennessee.

Interesting side note. We have only had 1 2019 decommit since Pruitt's arrival, and that was a Butch Jones recruit. We are bringing in kids with loyalty and drive. They aren't scared of 5-7.
