He isn’t leaving good lord lol. Wouldn’t even make sense. Tennessee literally tore the weight room apart and built it to Fitz’s specifications. He is one of the highest paid college Strength coaches in the nation. He isn’t going anywhere.
Feeling, source, or you on the inside?

Feeling and common sense. You really think Maryland can out pay Tennessee for a S&C coach? Let alone offer the same quality of life?

Again, Fitz pretty much gets whatever he wants at UT and gets paid a ton to do his job. What incentive does Maryland offer to even combat that?

Money isn’t the factor here

Yep, this is the exact conversation I was involved in. Apparently, if it’s true, you can mark it down that the kid will not be at TN, because he was apparently turned off by it.
OG, my bro wants me to ask, if you are the one who was taking up for Bailey, when he was being called a statue?

Ok. I was just asking... tired of the turnover (especially when it's high quality coachers)

I forgot about Baron being Abernathy's son. I was thinking more along the lines of a coach; but, I bet this is who the guy is talking about.
Definitely not a coach. He made it sound like just someone who has a job at TN, probably support staff. He never said a coach.

I'm sticking to my guns that, I'll believe it when I see it; and if it happens, I'll totally own it, and eat my crow.

But, if he does leave, I'll think less of him, and it looks bad on him. I totally understand the draw, back to one's alma mater, and wanting to help right the ship; however, I have read comments by Fitz, talking about how grateful he is to Pruitt for giving him the opportunity to be back in college ranks. We've invested the second highest salary in the country in him, and COMPLETELY rebuilt the weight room for him, it is his, every square inch, more investment. Not to mention, he knows very well our situation, and how S&C, and it's instability, has been a huge part of our downfall; and to leave all that after one year, and the man you're grateful to...
That’s largely how I feel. Can’t say I 100% agree with everything you said, but mostly. I would really like for him to stick around and hope he does, but I won’t roast him if he goes. It’s a very unique set of circumstances at Maryland right now is all.

I just got back and I'm reading Fitz will probably go to Maryland. Is this just a rumor or a done deal?

Restructuring the weight room for a new strength coach isn’t exactly uncommon.
