Did Barnes ever even talk about Memphis players flopping? If he did, I missed it. Penny seems to be confusing things said by vol twitter with things said by Rick Barnes. Not a good look.

He did, and Grant and Admiral said it multiple times post game. But it’s true. Even more, two young guys on local radio in Memphis were blaming Barnes for “starting it.” I don’t think Rick backed down after hearing Penny’s post game comments. They are going to spin it their way. Penny’s comments today were amateurish and not good.

Good point! I have no clue and as important as good and bad “PR” is to a university you would think they would get on the horn or stroll down the hallway without knocking and say “Hey Penny Pipe It Down”...but nothing is being said to him.

Yeah those takes are really bad. S&C is probably our biggest issue. We’ve had no stability there. We hire a guy who by all accounts is one of the best out there and we’re being told it’s no big deal if he leaves after just one year. That’s dumb. It is a big deal especially when we are lacking as much as we are in that area. How long has Cochran been at Bama and look at them

Baseball scholarships are all just partial scholarships. I believe 27 is the total number for college teams and that covers 35 players on a team. This is nothing like football.

Fitz is good. He is by no means irreplaceable. Culture starts at the top. And with the right recruits.
