I’m talking about your personal opinion. You said players should honor their commitment to the school.

But it doesn’t appear you have a problem with coaches not honoring their contracts
The coach is honoring his contract when the money that was agreed to by both parties is paid to the school. Bottom line...sitting out 1 year stops complete chaos and continuous recruiting. It also makes the young player think twice about doing something that may not be the best for him any more than his first decision. 1 year. Just 1 year.

If he agreed to a 4 year 20 million dollar deal and left after 1 year, that’s honoring his commitment?
But somehow transferring before graduating isn’t... Weird

Ncaa or anyone else has no business regulating “what is best for a student” (which is what they say their reasoning is)

Did Barnes ever even talk about Memphis players flopping? If he did, I missed it. Penny seems to be confusing things said by vol twitter with things said by Rick Barnes. Not a good look.

Our 4th strength coach in as many years. I can't believe that would happen after we made him the second highest paid strength coach in all of college football and spent a million dollars remodeling the weight room for him. You've got to be kidding me.

Our biggest issue has been that we are small, weak, and slow, and yet again, we are changing strength coaches if that 247 report is true. Its hard to improve in that area with this much turnover. Good grief it's ridiculous.

SIAP. McClendon out.

South Carolina: Head coach Will Muschamp, OC / WRs coach Bryan McClendon, DC / DBs coach Travaris Robinson and quarterbacks coach Dan Werner have all had contract extensions and raises approved by the board of trustees today, per The Post and Courier. Muschamp’s deal was extended for one year with a raise of $200k that was in his current contract, McClendon was extended through 2021 and got a salary bump to $1 million per year in his new deal, Robinson was also extended through 2021 and will make $1.2 per and Werner’s contract was extended through 2020 and received a salary bump to $700k annually

Oh and Locksley wins OC of the year: Previous winners:

Previous winners of the Offensive Coordinator of the Year award are Kevin Wilson (Oklahoma, 2008), Bryan Harsin (Boise State, 2009), Gus Malzahn (Auburn, 2010), Kliff Kingsbury (Houston, 2011 and Texas A&M, 2012), Philip Montgomery (Baylor, 2013), Tom Herman (Ohio State, 2014), Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma, 2015), Lane Kiffin (Alabama, 2016) and Josh Heupel (Missouri, 2017).

Any chance we can convince Philip Montgomery to leave Tusla HC for our OC?

Tennessee strength and conditioning coach Craig Fitzgerald is likely join Mike Locksley's staff at Maryland after National Signing Day, sources said.

Fitzgerald has spoken with Locksley about the job and two sources said he's already visited campus, although the latter part remains unconfirmed. Fitzgerald, regarded as one of the top strength and conditioning coaches in the country -- and the second-highest paid at $625,000 annually -- is a Maryland alum and began his career in College Park. A tight end at Maryland in the mid-90s, he worked as the Terps' assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2000 to 2005 under Ralph Friedgen. That tenure coincided with the program's best three-year run in history, and with Locksley's start there as a running backs coach.

Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt hired him away from the Houston Texans, who have a Maryland connection of their own from that same Ralph Friedgen era in head coach Bill O'Brien, before this season.
