I think the basis for the 8 team playoff is all 5 P5 champs get an automatic berth. I could be wrong, but that's the idea of most people that want the expanded playoff.

And 3 at large bids.

SO we should just tear Neyland down and get us about a 50K capacity stadium on the level with UAB and Tulsa. Hiring unqualified coaches is exactly why we are in the situation we are now. If we're striving to be a Tulsa or a UAB we need to adjust our ticket prices and act like a Tulsa or UAB.

I'm with you bud. Tennessee is not good in football and we have a long way to go to get there again. For those thinking it's gonna happen right now, they're gonna be in for a rude awakening. I believe we got lucky beating Auburn and maybe with Kentucky this year. We just happened to catch a bunch of 50/50 balls in those games. Our receivers have the ability to catch those balls but you have to catch them all the time. We're lucky JG can still walk after the beatings he took this year. I would love to be proven wrong in my thinking but I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

I'm not an insider and made absolutely sure everyone knows that. But if I hear/read anything, anywhere, I bring it here. Doesn't have a damn thing to do with credit or likes.

We're a group, borderline family at times. They share with me and I will always return the favor no matter how much or little I can.

Implying that it wouldn’t with more teams lol. Bamas final two games didn’t matter because they were a lock to get in, same with a Clemson, B10 champ game was meaningless. If anything it make games for teams ranked 6-12 wayyyyy more meaningful for the final weeks, right now anyone ranked outside of 5 has almost no chance to get in going into the final two weeks.

I'm not trying to argue. Honestly, I haven't decided for myself which one I'd prefer. I grew up on all the bowl games, and I kind of miss it. But, I remember how unsatisfying it was when I think Colorado and Georgia tech split the NC. It doesn't really matter what I think, though, because I think expansion is going to happen sooner rather than later. I have a feeling they may just go to 6, with byes for the top 2 seeds.
