Haven't thought about this until now but with Memphis needing an OC... do they try to get johnson to come back? Not sure if he would want to or not or what they could even pay

Not sure how much Memphis could pay, but I don't think we'd want to lose Johnson. I could see him getting a pay bump if he's given an opportunity elsewhere.

I’m just not expecting anyone with proven success. I do not expect any sitting coordinator to leave a good situation to come here. Yurcich didn’t add up.

And at this point why hitch your star to Pruitt’s wagon? That he whiffed on Helton is a major major blow to his development as a HC.

I expect a position coach, fired OC, or someone on shaky ground to come here. Especially considering this next class has nobody really exciting on offense coming in to work with immediately.

Man that was sad to write. Somebody pick me up.

Wouldn’t consider Helton a whiff. Also, why is Helton leaving a blow to Pruitt as a HC?

Sounds like you believe everything you read on the internet.

George Quarles. His time has come. Bring George back home to East Tennessee.

Part of me wants to think as easy as it was for Pruitt to put a staff together he has a plan the other part says he isn't going to stay at this sh*t show a lot longer. Much bigger rebuild than first thought, can't get the recruits like he's used to, could be DC coaching for National Championships, dealing with an administration where this doesn't seem to be priority. I may be wrong but Pruitt may feel out of his element

Run it by your wife. I’m sure she could at least make you feel dumb about it, which a hell of a lot better than despair.

I find it hard to believe that he hasn’t wanted a single candidate that we’ve interviewed so far. I feel like the issue is nobody wanting the job.

Am I reading that wrong?
Yeah, Lebby would rather coach QBs at UCF for 10% the pay. Or Briles would rather coach at Houston making $400k. He doesn’t want that extra milly a year. And Yurcich would rather stay in Oklahoma coaching games no one cares about. He definitely turned down double the pay to coach where it matters. And of course Freeze would much rather coach in Lynchburg VA in front of hundreds of fans. I think you figured it out.
