I’m amazed people are so surprised. If you polled a majority of OC’s out there—no shock but they are want to go where playmakers are—can’t make chicken s out of chicken salad ya’ll. Pruitt has to make this job attractive by recruiting playmakers on the roster—just not enough talent to entice a better OC. Money only goes so far.
Leach was everything we needed in a coach. Honestly the days of having by far the best roster in the sec are done. He wouldve been the most creative and just being at Tennessee could pull good enough recruiting classes we have us around 10 wins year in and year out. I really believe that.
Ironically, probably not Helton, right?
The buyout that no coordinator has to pay if they leave for a HC job? UT bent backwards.Pruitt handpicked his entire staff. He wanted Helton and pushed for his high salary and three-year contract, despite his limited experience. UT even agreed to include a clause in the contract about waiving his buyout at Pruitt's discretion. Pruitt liked Helton... until he didn't.
Maybe he is just the perfect competition machine. He has one thing on his mind and that is doing everything like you are taught. When that doesn't happen he isn't happy and I don't blame him. He can live with not having the ability to do something but these guys were doing Things that they had went over time after time. In turn lets the people down that were doing it the correct way.Maybe I shouldn’t say an a** but he doesn’t look pleasant at times. I don’t know man, I’m just guessing here like everyone else.
