Agree but on the flip side.. if Yurcich's ambition is to be a head coach one day, he may feel he needs to make the move to UT to build his resume (not a dig at Ok St but working under a defensive HC like Pruitt would erase any question of it being his offense). The other thing I've thought of in reading all of this about Pruitt's "research" is that maybe Yurcich will feel his football IQ could go up learning from Pruitt (& his years under Saban).Sounds like Yurcich is having issues committing if the ball is indeed in his court, imo. Think about it, Gundy brought that dude up from nothing. There has to be some loyalty there. Especially since Bama and AU tried to get him last year and he declined. I'm not sure I could make a lateral move either, everything in life isn't about a bigger paycheck.
you know what i mean. it has the potential to look really bad later on. im just putting on my hindsight glasses now, and skipping the middle part where we hope it works out, suffer thru some ups and downs, ultimatley to be let down, whilst watching every other guy we passed on do well at their respective stops.
you gotta admit...it's what we've got a bit of a track record for that.....
it's like we're in football purgatory lol.
that's fair. but sorta unrelated as far as how it looks, perception wise. butch woulda never gotten to the part where they talk money with any of htese guys Pruitt has talked to. it would have been assumed it'd cost too much and we wouldn't have even tried. For it to look bad you need it to be compared to a like situation. If no one ever lets the guy they’re hiring dictate the payroll, then why is UT set apart?
