In no particular order..

Cant win big game.
4 straight L’s in the bedlam series.
Too predictable.
Offensive numbers skewed because weak out of conference schedule.
Lot of 3 runs then punt.
Can’t recruit.
Doesn’t develop QB’s.

This is just what one guy said on Twitter. Obviously ONE guy. So take it with a gallon of salt.

Well, one thing is for certain — this guy doesn’t watch many Vols games.

I mean every coach in America can be critiqued and picked apart to an extent. I’ll gladly take a guy that has lead his group to consecutive top 10 finishes nationally.

OSU fans need to be careful what they wish for.
Agree. I likened their distaste for him to our complaints on Chaney. Now we were full circle clamoring for him as a candidate over Lebby.

Ya'll done got me like

One of the grossest things I've seen is this dude puke so much that he puked up his dentures and then wallowed around in it.

That was a fun night

Their D was awful. Just seems odd such a good offense wasn't good at all
Against K State, Tcu and Texas tech
Also put up 31 more points than we did against WVU in a 45-41 win.

I get that the tempo concerns you, but if we're talking about offenses that kill their own defenses the worst thing you can do is go 3-and-out, and Oklahoma St was one of the best in the country in sustaining drives. They're 24th in the country in plays per possession this year, and Tennessee was 125th.

Edit: Yurcich also did this with a walkon QB that was unranked out of HS and threw a total of 24 passes before starting this year. Not too bad.

We are going to miss Bates...................................................................................................................................................................................... handing out Gatorade on the sidelines the past 3-4 yrs...
The fact of the matter is that just about every one of us would give just about anything to be able to hand out Gatorade on the sidelines

The funny part of the article is that he believes Yurcich is polarizing. I’m pretty sure the only people who love his offense are also named Yurcich or have a last name that rhymes with Mundy.

He’s not a good OC and everyone knows it. There’s a reason the OU media protect him fellas. There’s a reason the ou trolls constantly point to the flecs of shine in the turd that is his tenure. They want him here. All of this noise about him being a candidate for other jobs is simply that, noise. Nobody wants the guy. I’ll reference his continued presence at OSU as my evidence. He will not be offered any of these jobs and my gut is he isn’t t even a candidate. This is simply the good old boy network asking a friend to put out rumors to boost their tired argument that Yurcich is respected around college football. There is only one way respect is shown in the football world. Promotion. He’s not going to get one anytime soon.

Yurcich isn’t linked to these jobs by anyone outside of Oklahoma media. It’s all fake news. Nobody wants him. Spare me the yards per game nonsense. He isn’t a good recruiter, developer, or play caller. He’s. Lousy OC.

Doubtful. Now, him leaving to take over the Akron job that's right down the road from his hometown? I could see that.
The guy as much as I want him gone, Recruits good QB's (doesn't develop them) and puts up very impressive stats (but is widely predictable and terribly inconsistent). That's the statement I put up on the twitter feed about interest in the TN OC job without the qualifying statements.

LOL, I was about to say, if you didn't include that tidbit, I was going to call you out on that! Nice save, nice save. I respect your posts, and was about to say, you've decimated his play calling in the past.
I want the guy gone, no secret there. I'm not going to trash him to his (hopefully) future fanbase. I'm unwavering in my thoughts that we could do a hell of a lot better with someone else at his position. As good as last year's team was talent wise we should have fired both coordinators and started over. As inconsistent as this team was I think it's the best time to part ways with him. This is honestly the first time I have ever questioned if Mike Gundy should be the coach. I am back in his corner but he needs to make some changes.

I get why people like him and are excited. I obviously have my concerns but as I posted ealier if Pruitt makes this call let's ride. It's his ass on the line and not mine. He knows Much Better than I

Lol he just developed a 2nd round pick in Mason Rudolph.

And expecting him to beat Oklahoma consistently at OkSt is ridiculously unfair as well.

Can’t recruit? Landed multiple 4-stars to freaking OKST.

Can’t develop? Mason Rudolph (recruited by Yurcich...) to 2nd round pick.

Can’t call plays? Then explain offenses that consistently place top 10 in total offense, ppg, and SOS-adjusted offensive efficiency.

Let's ride!

Dang broseph. Could you at least gave a warning before dropping this truth bomb?

Not sure they put up much fight. Gundy had to defend the guy a bunch in the initial hiring/results. Also not a ton of fan support. If we offer nearly 1/2 million more than they are paying I expect they walk.
Seems that way. Hope we can close the deal here, it would be pretty embsrassing to hit reset again. Who's left? Surely not Lebby. Guessing Enos going to be announced at Bama soon, thus the pivot to Yurcich. Briles round 2? Drinkwitz? On an aside, so when you're coach shopping, and looking for candidates, with whom you don't have a history, is it the a coach 's agents who say, well my guy at University X is looking for a new gig, wanna see his resume?

Typically either the coaches know one another or it is agent driven. Cash discussions are always agent handled since that is their job.
