Just when you think things can't get any worse, the UT athletic department takes a sh!t on your front porch

Lol you realize that the coaching carousel hasn’t even started right? Of course you don’t. Maybe you can hold out some more hope for Gruden coming again. Lord knows you were salivating over those.

It’s hilarious that I’m living so rent free in your head that you seek out my name just to try to prove me wrong when theres nothing even there. I’ll mail you check from now on pal.

You said once Gruden was in the complex during the search. Was that true?

If he hires Lebby you have to wonder if we’ve been turned down multiple times. Would be sad
I think it’s pretty obvious we have been.

Lebby, Briles, and Freeze haven’t been the only three candidates he’s interviewed. The fact it’s gone on this long seems to indicate we’ve been turned down multiple times.

Briles/Enos fall under "phenomenal" hire for me. Something Pruitt is claimed to have said to Bailey. Lebby does not, but I would give him a chance if Pruitt likes him.

Not sure about my theory but I think once Cleveland cleans house Freddie kitchens will come. Not coming yet due to contract and waiting to get dismissed for buyout money

Might upset some people but I'll throw it out there. Done a little research yesterday evening and mulled it over for a little bit. Here we go..

Tennessee's winning percentage by decade dating back to the 60's :

60's : 63%
70's : 61%
80's : 65%
90's : 83%
2000's : 67%

My conclusion : the 90's were simply and outlier for the Tennessee program. We are not a program that can be on that level over the long haul IMO. We experienced that success in the 90's when just about everyone in the SEC was lackluster outside of Florida. Since the 60's, there has never been a four or five year window in which we were the clear cut best program in the league. Never. It's incredibly difficult to win at a high level at Tennessee. Far easier to do it at programs like UGA, Bama, UF, and LSU. This is strictly my opinion, and folks can flame away if they please.
