I didn’t say that...I was purely making a generic statement based on how some people react during these searches and how they can jump to meaningless conclusions with no facts of what actually went into the thought process

Something that I have always loved about some of these coaching searches is the fact that the fans and even the media somehow seem to always forget it is a two way street. Just because the head coach and university (and their crazy ass fans) want a certain coach to come work for them and extend an amazing offer doesn’t mean that it is the right fit for that coach no matter what kind of money and incentives are in play. Conference, family situations, cultural fit, current state of the program and so many other factors go into the decision making process for these guys. Just something to keep in mind

Yep, FSU insiders reporting the inability to bring Clement and the philosophical differences between Pru and Briles has things fading.

Also saw FSU insiders saying we are already focusing on new candidates.

Because the University of Tennessee is one of the most poorly run football programs in the entire country, and we don't really care that much about winning.

So we are just going to churn and burn head coaches every 3-4 years forever? Coach gets fired, roster becomes depleted, new coach tries to rebuild roster, can't win fast enough, gets fired, rinse and repeat.
