Uh oh
“Another suitor has clearly emerged for OC Kendal Briles. Briles interviewed with Tennessee in the last 24 hours. He will interview with Florida State in the next 48-72 hours. One of the intrigues for Briles with FSU is the possible opportunity to bring a staff member or members with him.” -hubbs
Pretty clear bringing Clement is a non negotiable with him - which is pretty weird.Uh oh

Looks like Will Friend may keep us from getting Briles. Hope we can get Yurich
Why does it feel like Taggart is copying Pruitt candidate for candidate lol. Whoever we “interview” he interviews lolUh oh

Same crap everyone else is doing. It’s a 5-7 to 6-6 type of hire.I really want to get back to Sark, I think bringing Sark and tee back home will build some stability within the program. They are both relentless recruiters and Sark opens up the west coast which could provide one or two stars every year like Tee used to do with USC. Someone moves on (I dont like name games at UT because talking about anyone's job is just mean) and I think we take both. Also it makes sense with the timeline as the NFL season will be over and the Atlanta falcons might make some changes.
I believe Tee has an elevated opinion of his current skill set. He sees himself at the very least, a Power 5 OC or a head coach. He’s not taking a step backwards unless forced from lack of job opportunitiesI really want to get back to Sark, I think bringing Sark and tee back home will build some stability within the program. How does that fit with what AV said last night?I’ve been thinking about the @Atlanta VOL post last Sunday or Monday that the traveler has come, and we have made our choice. The traveler has come makes me think our choice is an OC who has been around to numerous places. The other stipulation is someone with SEC experience. Enos would fit that mold but I don’t think that’s it. McLendon is someone we thought was possible but doesn’t fit the above stipulations. Yurcich doesn’t fit. Briles doesn’t fit. However, there are 3 names I can think of that do fit...1 mentioned a lot, and 2 vaguely mentioned in here but we all kind of laugh off.
Chaney...he is one who has been mentioned by the media. He is certainly a traveler with a lot of SEC experience. Certainly would fit what Pruitt might want to do. Some talk he’s not happy with being taken off of coaching QBs. Certainly a possibility that we are disregarding.
Spurrier...I know, I know. Why would we hire him as OC? Prob won’t but just a name that would be a real surprise, hasn’t been mentioned, but does fit the stipulations mentioned above. Also, he has a great offensive mind. However, not sure that would work with Fulmer being his boss and probably wouldn’t.
The third? Kiffin. Don’t flame...hear me out. Look at the comments he’s been making about Briles in last 24 hours or so. Some of them are about how great Knoxville is, like he’s trying to butter the fans up. Off the wall, but maybe he sees that being a HC isn’t cut for him and that he has a hard time managing an entire program, and he just wants to get back to doing what he does best...coordinating an offense and calling plays. What better place to do it than Tennessee, join forces with a brilliant defensive mind, and take the battle to Saban, who fired him? Don’t you think he would live nothing more than taking down Saban? He fits the stipulations...he’s a traveler and has a lot of SEC experience.
Just some off the wall thoughts trying to put AV’s info together with what Pruitt wants.
