I love the idea of hiring Briles. But does anyone know if he has HC aspirations? I know that was a concern with Freeze but I haven’t heard it talked about too much with Briles. I’m sure he will eventually but hopefully it’s at least 2 years away.
That question gets asked a lot and that should never be a consideration when hiring an OC. Every coach, that's any good, should have aspirations of being a head coach. Do you think Saban cares about losing his best coaches every year? He hires the best and when they leave, he hires the best available right behind them.

If we do get Briles, then I am offering free mustache rides to anyone in a 100 mile radius of Drake University. So it is written, so let it be done.
A statement like this needs to be accompanied be a picture of said mustache o_Oo_Oo_O

Okay, so you think it plausible that Kendal knew absolutely nothing about his father covering up rapes while working under him? And you see nothing suspicious selling sex during recruiting? Easily arguable that there's enough suspicion to link Kendal to that scandal. Yet you want to hire Kendal Briles.

The thing is, suspicion does not equal guilt. If you didn't want Schiano because he was crappy, I'm fine with that, but people shouldn't keep pointing to the Penn State thing to justify it.
Let's start with Schiano. I didn't want him because he was crappy. Then I really, really didn't want him when I found out he was linked to the Penn State scandal knowing the media would bring it up and so would opposing recruiters. I would not want Briles as our head coach for the same reason. He has already been tried in the media and by the NCAA and hired 2 times after. There is more scrutiny for someone that will be a head coach and rightfully so.

So I've been gone most of the day and log on Twitter and see a bunch of talk about Maryland trying to take Craig Fitzgerald? Where did that come from?

Kind of disappointed and a little surprised Osborne is leaving.

Kid made plays when he got on the field, although getting on the field was rare for him.

I do wish him luck in the future.

He is an upperclassman behind 2 starting CBs that are freshman. He is making right decision. He deserves to take what he learned this yr and go compete for job somewhere

Lane has always been obsessed with us. It's a bit odd but it's true. When Ed O came to speak to the QB Club, Kiffin asked him if we still hated him. I think he genuinely regrets his decision and doesn't like being seen as a bad guy but he also can't help but troll the hell out of us on twitter at times. #it'scomplicated[/QUOTE
I believe Kiffin know he shat his pants by leaving Tennessee in the middle of the night and I believe he wishes he could have a do over here. If he doesn't care about Tennessee, why would he gift wrap Briles to Pruitt? He wants Pruitt to succeed where he failed.

I'm seeing some hate for yoga coming across the board. Here's an open invite to all of my Volnation brethren: if you are in Nashville for any reason, if you are into exercising, hit me up and I'll comp your fee to one of my yoga classes. It's not what you think. I work with professional and collegiate athletes, and they struggle mightily with the work. After class, beer of your choice. (on you of course!)

I've actually been thinking about getting into yoga for a while now because the only sports I play now are golf and I ski, both big time core strength/balance activities and I think yoga would help. If I move back to Nashville, which I'm hoping to do, I'll take you up on this.
