Basilio is hell-bent on the story that Pruitt wanted Freeze and Fulmer blocked it and now Pruitt is going around talking to big $$$ boosters around the state and telling them that Fulmer is blocking him. If true, it's just a matter of time until Pruitt walks to the next stepping stone.
Seems like a pretty big if IMO

FWIW, scheme and play calling did the OL no favors at times. Seemed like we some schemes in our run game that were just asking too much of the guys we had to work with a lot of times. The few times we seemed to try to scheme around the OL and not ask too much of them (notably, USCe), they didn’t look terrible.

Hard to know whether that was a Helton thing or a Friend thing, though.
Even getting a finger on defensive players was too much to ask on just about every play...

This is nonsense. Par for the course with Basilio though.

Reaaaaallly don’t think this is true.

But I wouldn’t be surprisded since it seems that nobody knows anything about this search now and it’s just been stalled for a few days. No concrete news on any names.

Also it doesn’t go along with Larry saying Pruitt and Fulmer were in sync with everything they’ve been doing.

Not buying it.

Edit:
Not buying the Pruitt talking to boosters part.
Yeah, I was reporting that Basilio is saying it knowing he's likely throwing poop on the wall to see if it will stick. I wondered if true insiders may respond to refute it.

Hard to see Basilio making something like this up, IMO. He has so much to lose. Where will he go if he loses his credibility and has to sell the van down by the river he broadcasts from/lives in?

True, mental busts were a huge problem.

But at times the blocking schemes we used had assignments that would have been difficult even for very good OL. Good OCs find ways to simplify and/or adapt to the guys they have to work with. Bad ones just stick to the way of doing things they know regardless of whether their players are capable of doing it or not.

Maybe Fulmer decided hiring Freeze in the MeToo! Era was a bad idea. I'm betting Pruitt agreed with his AD and mentor. Hence the other names.

I could see Yurich being more willing to move now. Fedora is available and worked for Gundy as OC in past. He could be an easy replacement and Yurich could feel like being in SEC gets him more attention for HC jobs. It gets him out of the Gundy shadow. Even though he has called plays the whole time I'm sure that comes up in HC interviews is if it's his offense etc.

Not to mention a lot of OSU fans are becoming very impatient with Yurcich. Went on twitter to see what fans are saying about him and saw quite a bit of OSU fans blaming him for not winning a conference championship in 7 tries. Not sure how you lay all of that blame on Yurcich and very little on Gundy but whatever.

Good thing its coming from Basilio. That means its garbage

Tee needs to prove himself elsewhere. Tennessee doesn't need to be a training camp anymore.
FWIW, Tee has proven himself as a position coach and recruiter. He just got put in a job that was too big for him and failed at it.

If we got Sark and Tee somehow got brought in as a position coach somewhere on offense, that could be an upgrade potentially. Would just depend on whom he replaces.

Almost nothing will help those guys imp...graduating/transferring maybe? Great scheme is great, but no matter what you run, your OL has to execute. Nothing helps these guys.

Outside of the starting QB, nobody gets more undue blame than the OC. (Sometimes, yes, it's warranted)

It has never been there offense it is their god forsaken shjtty defense. You 35 to 40 points a game you should be winning. That is why no one from the big 12 in their state now will EVER win a championship.

This is literal fake news. Not buying this for a second.
