Why would he leave a team in the playoffs to come here and bring his sorry offense?

I cant quite put my finger on it.

Based on the numbers I see, Notre Dame is 19th in offensive efficiency and was 12th last year. I don't watch them much, but how is that "sorry"? Boy, we have some tough critics.

Edit: sorry, now I see that you were asking a question about what it meant.

What coaches are available that have a lot of SEC experience, are available? Maybe this coach is currently employed and looking to jump off a sinking ship of a program? Any ideas?
Fulmer has a little SEC experience

Then just let the dude be wrong. Every time he’s wrong y’all feel the need to stick up for him, and give assurances that he really does know what he’s talking about. “It’s a fluid situation”....lol. My point is he knows as much as the rest of us.

Nah. You're wrong. Simple as that.

Oh, trust me, he knows more than me. He hasn't been wrong yet. LOL.

I was more trying to get the previous poster to see how ridiculous his post was. In one sentence he questions someone leaving a playoff team to come here and yet turns around and says his offense was not good.

1. Contract @ ~900k up in 2018
2. Rumored to not be happy with not being able to coach QBs.
3. We just happen to have an opening for an OC, QB expertise prefered..
4. We can definitely bump his salary...

My bad. It was a bad attempt at sarcasm.

I don't understand why Fulmer being on the road has anything to with the timing of this. He shouldn't be involved with a face to face interview and there doesn't have to be a presser now

this hill you are choosing to die on, this ain't it, chief

So...I have talked to AV.

All I'll say is that he's legit. Don't doubt his info y'all. Just know that he's not the one who ultimately makes these decisions, therefore what he hears is subject to change.

He shared some info with me. All I'll say, because it's his to share, not mine, is that I'm confident that our guys are doing their jobs the right way. We're not dragging our feet at all.

That said...I haven't read up on anything today, so this might be old news at this point

It's gotta be news to be old news. No offense man, but you didn't really say anything about the search there, so I'm not sure which part could be considered old news. It's reassuring to hear, I guess, but I never really considered it a realistic possibility that Fulmer and Pruitt were "dragging their feet." That's just something impatient fans say, because they're butt hurt that they don't know who it is yet.

Well, he could be having initial interviews, and guaging interest from those currently employed in the NFL or on teams outside the SEC. Maybe just thinking outside the box. Then, if he hits on someone interested and interesting, he coul pass them on to Pruitt, who could make his final decision...So, why couldn't he as an ex-head coach of a national title team, have the ability and desire to help with the process by meeting face to face with candidates? If Pruitt really trusts him that much, why not?

Imo that's overstepping but even if it isn't he can do all that over the phone
