Chris Low just said Fulmer wouldn’t sign off

Liberty University, which is a Christian University wants him as HC. I know they have higher morals than UT, yet they are the ones who are willing to hire Freeze. On top of that, our school is the one with the spirit of the Pharisees. The man has paid his debts. He's repented and asked for forgiveness. Washed clean, purged and purified, but someone is still looking for those old stained garments that have been destroyed by our Lord. Where's my Amen corner?
Liberty is not wanting Freeze as their head coach. Liberty is most likely going with Rashad Jennings. He is local and has many ties to the University and community.

You are preaching to the choir. I believe in forgiveness. But there are still consequences of your actions. LIberty might do their due diligence, find whatever our admin has found, and have reservations of their own.

I said it last week does Fulmer still hold resentment towards Freeze for how he profited off of Michael Oher back in the day?

Fulmer still bitter. Does not want the program to succeed. JMO but this decision seems to support it.

So Fulmer took on the AD role to purposely ruin the program and destroy is legacy. Go back to the LEGO table with the other boys and girls and let the adults talk football. Thanks

For UT sake I hope this isn't true.

Word will get around about administration handcuffing coaches hiring assistants. If you think we have a hard time finding head coaches now, it will get far worse when Pruitt leaves out of frustration. He doesn't seem like the personality that will put up with that kind of interference.

Just because Hugh runs a potent offense that scored points and helps win games doesn’t mean he’s someone the fans want to hire. That’s how I read what he’s saying.

Fulmer had no issue hiring Trooper Taylor back in the day and Auburn deemed Trooper too dirty for them....

If this is true which I don't believe it is, it comes with some justification, I know everyone seems to want Freeze and I do believe in second chances but if all that was in his baggage was the escort phone calls that would be one thing but the recruiting violations is a whole other deal. I think Freeze is a great coach but the recruiting violations are hard to get passed, mistakes happen but knowingly doing it is different. This is a business and making the best choice for the university is sometimes not what fans want or understand but I also don't think we want violations leading to bowl bans, loss of scholarships and NCAA all over us. So if it's true I understand why all the hesitation

Rucker on 247 just posted the best article he's written in a long time entitled "Let's simmer down on this OC search anxiety". It basically said what some have said here....the way we're acting is utterly ridiculous...Its kind of getting embarrassing now actually

If this story is true, which I have serious doubts, and Freeze is hired by another SEC school we'll be looking for a new HBC soon. No way an alpha dog head coach would put up with having a hire blocked like this and him ending up in conference.

Give Tony Elliott a call and offer more money. He'll be the OC instead of CO-OC which he is now. That would sting ol' Dabo pretty good.

The way who is acting? No one outside of a handful of local sports media spends one second out of their day thinking about the UT fan base and certainly no one on the national media.

I once worked in a school like the one where Freeze worked. My very first day on the job, I was walking the room while students worked on an assignment, and one of the girls sitting at a table with another girl said to me "my friend wants to f you." She said the real word. I glanced at her friend who showed no reaction to what had been said and walked passed them. That same day, my first day, I broke up a fist fight between two girls who were going at each other. Put my hands up in the air and squeezed myself between them, saying, "Stop! Stop!" I could go on and on. I'll tell you this. Telling lies and covering up for lies was common practice among the students. Some schools were better managed, but teachers typically spent half their energy trying to maintain control, instead of teaching. If Freeze did not say something sexually suggestive or put his hands on someone that way, then at worst he put himself at risk with a few poor decisions. That is something he also did at Ole Miss, but I do not find his history to be a deal killer. Let me tell you something. A lot of the squeaky clean politicians acting all goody goody are running around on their wives. I know. I've seen it with my own eyes. So don't let them cover up their own dirt by boloing this coaching hire. jmho

The best thing I can see about this interest in the hire of a staff coach (be it an important one) is that this part of the fan base cares.

Rightly or wrongly, interest like this sets the UT fan base apart from many others, or maybe all others. Anyone looking to join a staff that enjoys better support (both kinds) would need to look far and wide. So that brings me to the statement "if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen". If you can or think you can, then you are a candidate for this job.

I completely agree - lets also not lose site that Jesus Christ himself could be the next OC and still wouldn't do as well as we would want with the oline and qb we have today. just being real

Due to Hugh’s baggage, Fulmer wouldn’t sign off on the hire.

This makes me further believe the reports about Anderson not wanting Freeze. We all know Anderson and Fulmer are aligned at the hip.

If CPF said no, then its no..........I trust him on these things. HF could bring more trouble to UT, and to be honest...........do we really need more of that?
