I don’t remember reading anything related to prostitutes being provided to recruits. Everything I read dealt with CHF’s personal use of prostitutes.

Was Freeze named as a witness to a child-sex crime? You are crazy if you think wrong is wrong. The entire justice system is set up with varying levels of wrong. The personal use of prostitutes is in no way equivalent to child-sex crimes. CGS wasn’t accused of child-sex, but he was named in a deposition as having witnessed an adult engaged in some lewd activity with a child and then failing to report it to the authorities.

Agreed KB, Saban is simply doing with coaches what Bear used to do when he dressed out a 122 players for Bama home games. Bear knew if a player was standing on his sideline THAT player had no chance of beating him. Same for coaches if guys like Freeze can spend a year or two as one of his analysts then they have no chance of being across the field from him contributing to his defeat.

I just don't think Freeze is someone Fulmer or Pruitt is comfortable with. They like squeaky clean guys with no baggage.

Remember the media bashing Saban for saying he WASNT taking the Alabama job. And then he did. I’m sure that Bama fans didn’t care.

Speaking of Shitano.....why isn’t the national media bashing Maryland for not considering him for HC? According to them this time last year, UT would be ‘lucky’ to get such a quality of a coach. Why not the same bashing for UM?

I didn’t want schiano for the same reason as the OP, he sucked as a HC and had a horrible reputation as a pro coach. The Penn St stuff just made him an even worse candidate. You remove the Penn St stuff and he was still a horrible choice, espcially that early in the process. Honesty he would’ve been a horrible choice even if he was the guy AFTER all the others turned us down. The fact that he was the guy BEFORE many other better coaches were even contacted was an insult to the fan base.

So honestly I could care less what the media would say if we did hire Freeze. Our historical rival is Bama, we haven’t beaten them in way too long and he’s a guy that has shown he can beat them. Schiano L’s greatest accomplishment was taking a bad program and making it barely mediocre. He then went to the nfl and did horrible. He couldn’t beat teams in a bad conference, he wasn’t about to come into the SEC and compete with UF, UGA or Bama.

Let me get this straight. Alabama has their best offense EVER, averaging more than 10 points over their previous highest, and people on here are concerned that replacing the current OC with Freeze will be bad for the rest of us?
