Of all the names being tossed around as candidates for OC, who do you think is the best recruiter?

Freeze and I don’t care that he bought hookers, I want to win again. Pruitt will screen his phone calls.

We all know all the big names in college football do some shady things. We might want to think about operating in the gray areas a little more to see if gets us back to being competitive again. Worst case scenario is we get banned from going to a bowl but we're not going to bowls using the current approach anyway.

I completely agree. Most every successful team pushes the envelope a little, it’s just the way that it is. It’s big time college football, NO ONE is as clean as they think that they are.

Someone with a clean, solid reputation. Kingsbury is intriguing. I thought all year we should have just abandoned the run since it was obvious we couldn't and gone straight passing. With most SEC Teams loading up the front 7 to stop the run - OK we'll just pass like crazy. Seems to be the way things are headed.

I didn't really care for any of the names being tossed around on RTI except maybe Kitchens.

I would go for Dino Babers OC because I know what he (Babers) has done at Bowling Green/Syracuse.
An OC from most of the B12 teams would do as well (WV, OK, OKst, etc)
Jeff Brohm or Cutcliffe protégé.

With that view or morality, we’ll scratch your name from the team chaplain candidate list. Thanks

Not sure if Freeze would be or not. I only know he's very good at teaching offense.

Read the NCAA reports about what happened at Ole Miss. Hugh got the least severe penalties of any of them basically. This was a widespread AD and booster level problem that resulted in their assistant AD getting a 5 year show cause. Freeze actually testified for the NCAA and reported that he was shocked upon arriving there to find out how much booster and AD involvement there was in recruiting at Ole Miss. There were Ole Miss assistants that got worse than Freeze after the investigation. The NCAA said Freeze was free and clear to pursue any non-head coaching job immediately with no restrictions.

Also, with the huge basketball scandal the NCAA seems to be steadfastly ignoring, their future enforcement efforts are likely to be severely damaged.

We know Bama is cheating like heck. The NCAA does nothing. Roll the dice with Freeze. What's the worst than can happen? We get NCAA bowl bans or go winless in the SEC? Oh...wait...

NCAA oversees several hundred colleges. But since Alabama funds them at 50%, they are untouchable.

You "Anti-Freeze" people are silly, acting like Freeze himself was running around with a bag of money. Thats not how this stuff works. The NCAA could put a camera on Freeze and it wouldnt matter. He would just be the OC. I highly suspect that kind of stuff happens in the shadows, away from the HC and Coordinators. The top just lets the Admin know who are the prime targets and it is the shadow Administration AKA the booster orgs that go after them with the cash and gifts. Plausible deniability is probably a core creedo. Freeze couldnt so much as buy someone a taco without the UT Admin well wishing it. That was what was happening at Ol Miss. The booster bagmen will take their overall informal cues from Pruitt (and Fulmer) as to how far they go, not an OC.

And please, lets not get on our moral high horses about money in football. The teams gave up their right to do that when they started making VAST sums of money from the product of these young men. Yes, they get an education and room and board but lets not act like this is done for some glorious purpose - it is a money machine for the school administrations.
