It doesn't take an insider to know Hugh would be interested in being TN OC. The question is does Pruitt want and will TN and SEC approve.

Hugh has spent a lot of time in this state. Loves TN. Would basically be HC of offense. He makes so much sense from a football standpoint and his Memphis/West TN ties. The guy snuck into our stadium when was younger. Of Course he is interested.
Didn't know until today that he grew up a Tennessee fan

FF posting twitter reports that former UF coach JM is a legitimate candidate.... Sharks in Knoxville?

I’m not sure on that. The narrative was he was a lifelong Ole Miss guy.

This is not hard. When Freeze wanted the Ole Miss job, he was a lifelong Ole Miss fan. Now he wants a Tennessee job, so go figure—now he’s a lifelong Vols fan.

I honestly don't really understand why Jim Mac didn't have a good offense at Florida. Been solid everywhere else. Could be the style fit? Florida better for spread?

College RPO offenses are predicated on the threat of the QB running or else it is just a play action pass. The NFL does it less, but the RPO is built around the QB holding the ball, just like normal option football. The difference in the RPO is he can decide to throw a quick pass as well.

I’m not sure this is accurate (I may also be misreading - just taught my third class of the day of my brain is mush).

Play-action - you decide BEFORE the play where you’re going with this ball (fake the run, throw a pass)

RPO - you decide DURING the play where you’re going with the ball (run or pass).

Who is doing the running (qb or rb) is irrelevant. Matt Canada got Peterman drafted with an RPO offense without him really running the ball much, I believe.
