About the same honestly, but they have a better OL. Hence why they barely beat us. Again. That doesn’t mean it’s the better job anyway. Players change. Next year we could have Hurts in here at QB and well add Keyton and a host of other playmakers that SC couldn’t dream of landing. Then who would you rather OC for. Just because they are slightly better than us now doesn’t make them the better job. That’s like saying that when Texas was struggling that any team who was playing better than them is a better job. It’s not. TN and Texas offer things that lowly schools like SC could never offer
One player doesn't make a class and Brian Maurer barely finished below him in 247's final Elite 11 rankings so that argument isn't very well supported, anyone can land one good player every now and again but for the most part even in our worst years in program history we've out recruited them and should have beaten them the last two years in a row when we were pretty heavy underdogs going into both games.Ryan Hilinski - Football Recruiting - Player Profiles - ESPN
They have the number 1 QB in the country coming in. A guy tailor made for McClendon’s offense. SC recruiting is going pretty well unfortunately
It's not what Tennessee did, Fulmer's in charge now.i think Will Friend is probably the leader in the club house. move Weinke over to QB's and hire a new RB and OL coach.
that feels like the tennessee thing to do. do whatever you need to to retain Tino Sunseri though. don't let him leave Knoxville imo.
hiring Hugh Freeze is not what Tennessee does.
Okay. I guess USC isn’t a better job than SC because they won fewer games? Just because our team sucks does not mean that the job is better. When we beat them next year does that mean that TN is suddenly the better job again? There is no factual measure that you can point to that says that SC is the better job. None. Their team is slightly better doesn’t mean anythingJust not true any longer. Sorry man. Until we can tie together a few years of good seasons most SEC teams are more attractive.
It would have been reported and it wasn’t. Because there was no buyout. So you’re a saying a “proven commodity” is less likely to get locked in financially than an unproven variety?

I agree that we aren’t far behind them at all but helinski is a special talent. A great QB can change everything. Maurer is decent but he’s not in the same league as Helinski. Elite 11 doesn’t mean ish. Maurer struggles to win games against mediocre competition. Helinski is a stud in arguably the best conference in high school football. One player doesn't make a class and Brian Maurer barely finished below him in 247's final Elite 11 rankings so that argument isn't very well supported, anyone can land one good player every now and again but for the most part even in our worst years in program history we've out recruited them and should have beaten them the last two years in a row when we were pretty heavy underdogs going into both games.
Fulmer wasn't exactly the greatest at hiringin assistants or coordinators. when he did have to hire them early on, he just walked down the hall and promoted Chavis and Cut.It's not what Tennessee did, Fulmer's in charge now.
What have they won? They’ve beaten some bad TN teams. They haven’t, and won’t, come close to an SEC championship and only have come close once. And we kept them from getting there under Spurrier in 2013. But they’re a better job than us, and can’t even land top 20 recruiting classes. This is a dumb argument. I’m doneWinning is usual "factual" measure in these matters.
Will Friend is not the answer though, maybe Osovet.... maybe, and we need to hold onto to Tino as well whether that means a promotion of some sort or whateverFulmer wasn't exactly the greatest at hiringin assistants or coordinators. when he did have to hire them early on, he just walked down the hall and promoted Chavis and Cut.
two good decisions. and decisions i think Fulmer will likely talk about when discussing this with CJP.
Bass, they’re trolling you. UT is the better job no matter what. Everyone knows that.SC has only finished inside the top 20 in recruiting once in the last 3 years. Meanwhile, TN, is about to close with Morris, Wright, Pappoe, and many other top players and will finish no worse than 12th nationally. In spite of our struggles, players still come here. But SC is a better job? Nope.
