I think Pruitt is going to have to cave a little on his “strictly pro style offense” mantra. Just look at what Bama has done with Hurts and Tua the past 3 years. It doesn’t have to be all the time but definitely having that element keeps defenses on their toes.

Doesn't it hurt recruiting when recruits are not sure who the coaches are? With only a few weeks until early signing is it possible for him to get the job and a new one hired?

Guess that early signing period does make difference for these situations

If Helton is on his way to WKU, time for CJP to get an OC who better matches the talent they can attract to the hill and Pruitt's system. They need a solid O scheme, not a mishmash that keeps delivering bottom feeder offenses. Take Dobbs out of the scheme Butch ran and they had middle of the pack G5 stuff. That needs to end. I prefer multiple, however, if they can get Freeze with his spread that's beaten Bama - make it happen.

Maybe but the list of coaches to turn them down would be very long before I got to Helton if I was the AD

For us maybe but if he was there during Brohm days as AD then he is plenty familiar with Helton. So that probably holds a lot of weight. Freeze is going to be a tough sell as HC right now because off field stuff. He had preferred SEC OC jobs previously to just coach offense and take time to rebuild his reputation

I agree. I want all freshmen and sophomores with the exception of a few guys. Just play Pruitts recruits

Might be. He wasn't allowed to be hired last yr anywhere but don't know if it was time table related such as give it a yr guys type a thing

SOB not sure how I missed that. I always associated him with crazy good OLs and run games at Wisky and Arky. Didn't know he was D.C. Before that.
