"Backups"
Listening to the other players, I took it as we had starters not bringing it like they should. You don't think there is any?
Pruitt would have sat them like he did with Sham. I’m sure there’s a few that get a decent amount of PT that result in no depth. Are we really gonna believe PRUITT let starters not try in practice and slack off in games? If that’s the case, he’s no better then butch and will dig an even deeper hole

Last I will address and doing so cause you are a regular poster. Been hearing about these issues early in season. Coaches tried but couldn’t get all to buy in or others who got out worked and checked out. Not just stuff from uncle greasy. Also, saw a couple of guys who do start seemed to be checked out yesterday when needing to do some of the let’s say, less than flashy work. Been hearing one of those guys will be leaving and turning pro regardless. He well get drafted but was protecting himself against Vandy. Not a cancer but will be gone.

This sounds like Warrior. Doesn't seem like Callaway IMO but I could be wrong.

Shamburger has been a problem child all year.

I knew when I heard CJP chastise his lackadaisical practice efforts that there was a problem.

At around 0:55:

Really thought he was going to be a star and was puzzled that he was in Pruitt’s doghouse. That’s why we hire coaches, I guess.

He said in his post game that there was basically no competition at a lot of spots. Guys got to play by default is what I took from it.

I like you too...just blowing off steam...

All those effin missed tackles and getting pancaked or run 5 yards out of the play...😡🤬😡🤬😡 Damn it looks like a real man would just get sick of getting embarrased like that and go knock the eff out of somebody...
I’m sure they are tired of it too, they didn’t wanna get embarrassed in their last 2 games in college. But as I said, it’s hard to fix TWO YEARS of no accountability and S&C in one offseason. Some just aren’t at an SEC level anymore and it has more to do with previous staff than them quitting

According to Hubbs, some how, some way, we gave up the fewest yds on the ground this season since the 2008 season.

Imma take any positive they give me at this point.
That was probably like the year when we statistically had a great pass defense. Teams didnt have to pass because we couldn't stop the run. 🤣

That would be extreme. But if that is how it goes one has to suppose that Fulmer has been on board with a "scorched earth" approach.

It's an unusual set of circumstances. Traditionally, UT spends a generous amount of time helping players find other programs where they can contribute and smoothing their transition. Players have been allowed to stay and get a degree. Some players who don't do things the Pruitt way may not want to transfer or quit. So either they stay on the team and continue to do what Pruitt finds unacceptable or they're forced out if they don't leave voluntarily.

Shows how bad we have been at it previously. Because we are 51st this year in rushing defense and still allowed 4.2 YPC. In 2008, it was 2.8 which is elite

I take that as Backups not pushing for starting spots. I think Sham is a perfect example of that
Look Smokey..there at least two starters on defense that make me wanna puke. I'm not going to say their names, but they are both in positions that could make a huge difference in games..like yesterday. G

Bad as it was this year, the video game rushing totals ended. Key to the Kentucky win. Now if we could counter accurate QB’s.

Pretty sure I know who you’re talking about. And I think it has more to do with the previous two years than quitting. I’ll use Kongbo as an example, trashed by fans since he arrived, chances are if he didn’t get hurt he’d be one that “quit” the final two games.... He was crying during senior day, that’s not a sign of someone who doesn’t care

Ah. Well, I think we have to consider the source. That might be true of Brandon, but he actually has done nothing but make excuses for his cousin since he got here. I am guessing he will be one of the players to leave. I appreciate what Brandon has done, but his PT slipped a lot this year. Palmer and Callaway both seemed to improve a lot. I did not see enough of Brandon to make a judgment.

How forgetful we are! Brandon Johnson was putting up great numbers for someone that didn’t even start, catching the ball everytime he was thrown to,that’s a lot more I can say than for some of these other starting receivers, his playing time decreased not because of production but because of his size,Pruitt wants Alabama like receivers which makes him picky and I don’t think he’s in any great position to do that,he needs to get the best players at every position on the field.Brandon was one of those players with experience at the position.
