I've never been a guy who talked in terms of 5 years much less more when it comes to giving a coach time. Pruitt is no better than any other hire. He needs to show improvement next fall and REAL improvement by year 3. This program and specifically the roster are in a deep, deep hole. Many here defended Jones but it seems pretty obvious now that he left the program worse than he found it... and it was a burning dung heap when he found it.

Players at the junior high level know or are taught how to play off blocks. I do not understand why the current players cannot do this. This is the worst tackling defense at any level I have seen.

You kind of have to be strong enough to beat the guy blocking you. Many of UT's players... aren't.

I think this years team would beat last years team. As inept as we were at times this year remember we went 4 games last year without scoring an offensive TD. There’s no way last years team beats Ky or Auburn.

I tried. I really tried to avoid posts for at least a week. But then, I came anyway. My own worst enemy. Some need to learn not to drink and post. Some actually think they can fire their way to success. And, I suppose some thought Pruitt would take Jones's players who established a new low last year and win big.

You won't win with impatience. At this point, I see promise with Pruitt. I feel we do have a game time coach. We'll know much more in two years when his system and players are fully in place.
