Leach at WSU
Year 1: 3-9
Year 2: 6-7
Year 3: 3-9
After a complete overhaul of their dumpster fire to players that fit his system, no matter their stars, only then does the winning begin.

TN doesn't allow for that. Pruitt will be lucky to get 4 years if he doesn't show much more progress than that (*relatively speaking) and he checks all of the 'culture' boxes.

Leach and his personality/demeanor?
Not blaming Leach but I feel strongly on how his time here would have played out also and it greatly differs from yours.

I believe the head coach will have a little longer longevity now that we have an AD that understands what it takes and the fan base supports.

Exactly.

Extending bad hires past their time doesnt fix anything.

Our 2 most recent fires were trying to get out well before they were fired.
If anything our issue is not identifying a problem at its origin and hanging on to hope for too long.

Comical that anyone could think our issue is that we haven’t given bad coaches MORE time.

2-1 so far is our tournament play here at the WV showdown at the Greenbrier.
I'd say well be done in the morning, we play a team of man child's in the semi.
Crazy, it's a 12U bracket, but the team we play is all 13, except for 3, and they're 12.
One has a beard!! Lol

Phil didn't even interview Leach so that seems like a moot point. But I don't know if that was Fulmer's preference or the money men.
Wts, if they weren't interested to begin with, doubt they would have given Leach the same time frame as Pruitt. (Hypothetical if Currie had signed a contract before being fired)

A well-respected Georgia poster on another board says Pruitt has already flipped a couple of Georgia commitments, and that yesterday's performance has no impact on what Pruitt is pitching these recruits. TIFWIW
I can see that because players/recruits are looking at the big future picture not today. It is just hard for some posters on here to understand that. Pruitt has been honest to tell recruits they are needed, will play and that a major purge of players will occur to resolve this years problem situations.

Hope so! That’s going to happen sooner or later because it has to. I’m still concerned we are a coach or two away from truly giving a guy a chance but we will see.

This. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but Birmingham is corrupt as can be, and the SEC office is no exception. Move it. Now. It’s past time.

It needs to be in a place like Atlanta or Nashville. Those are cities with strong alumni bases for every SEC team so it evens things out. They're also places with more things to do than college football.

Also, now that online gambling laws have changed to allow states and cities not named Las Vegas to get in on the action, having any conference office in a city like Birmingham is asking for trouble.
