Kirby went 7-6 with UGA yr 1 losing to Vandy and barely escaping Nichols st. We still can matchup that record. Doom and gloom is not necessary here. If we lose to Vandy then I will understand some negative feels for sure. Mizzu should be on a nice run if they didn't get screwed by refs vs Ky. They boatraced Florida at Florida and Florida didn't lose their QB drive 1

UT came out flat against Charlotte, setting off doomsday predictions here. They shocked UK the next week. See if that’s not the case here. We’ve also been much better on the road this year.
We'll win because the SEC wants more bowl teams

Not too worried about this result honestly. Missouri is a weird team. They aren't that good, but they have one aspect of the team (passing game) which can go up against any opponent in the nation. Tennessee's safeties are average at best and the defensive front just can't put together consistent performances. Add in turnovers and a blowout isn't surprising. Still feeling good about Vandy next week, think it'll be a lot like the Kentucky game. If Guarantano is out...gets a lot closer.

Agree. A lot like Dooley’s teams with Bray. The offense was unstoppable if they were on.

3 plays changed the game yesterday.

Down 19-10 pick leads to 26-10 instead of 19-17 or 19-13.

Abernathy missed tackle on 3rd down and long leads to TD instead of us getting ball back.

CFA fumble for TD.

Without those game is within reach and doesn't get out of hand

I told people this matchup wasn't good. Mizzu should be top 10 if not for 2 plays.

We will beat Vandy in a tough one but we will win

I think the game changed on the on side kick. Not sure how many times it has to fail before we stop trying it. This ain't horse shoes

I dont think we needed it. We had momentum at that point and we gave them good field position.

Hubbs talked about it a lot during the week: Could Tennessee's LBs hold up against Mizzou's spread vs. all the phone booth stuff re: Charlotte and Kentucky?

Well, Bituli had a nice PBU early but otherwise No. 35 was constantly chasing the play or getting picked on in coverage.

This was painfully obvious sitting there yesterday. The speed at LB and ability to cover is not there, and it isn’t a scheme issue. We don’t have the athletes there. Sapp is our best athlete, but he ran himself out of several plays when he was in. One of the other glaring issues was we could not get off a block on the edges. It felt like every outside run had a chance to pop. The front 7 needs more jimmy’s and joe’s in a bad way.

*I appreciate what the seniors have done playing a ton of snaps.

The whole stadium was amped on the first play after the kick. Players were fired up to.

Imo you can't give them the ball for the 3rd time in a row with great field position. Especially when the momentum was so strong anyway. Our defense was playing great at that point and we finally got it going on offense. Just a weird crazy time to make that call

I would put that decision pretty low on the reasons we lost this one. We were in position to recover (just like basically every onside Pruitt has called this year) but didn't execute. Now, I can see the argument being Pruitt has done this before and it hasn't been successful, so why keep calling it? That said, he plays to win, and the writing was on the wall in terms of our defensive performance after the first two drives.
