This is the first time that I didn't look at the name, voted straight down party lines. I'm sorry but the Kavenaugh hearings did it for me. I'm a registered independent and don't agree with the way Trump carries himself but strictly from a policy standpoint there is very little you can fault him for. The dem' s scorched earth policy of destroying him and anyone associated with him by any means necessary regardless of collateral damage, legal or not is worse than anything Trump has done. It will take a lot for me to ever pull the lever for a dem again.

The national democratic party has done serious damage to the local level democratic party. I'm 100% sure it cost Bredesen any chance at winning the Senate seat.

The democrats painted themselves into a corner on this one crying wolf for 2 years and producing nothing. just look at how many victory lap threads LG has started.

If Mueller comes out with something actually condemning then yeah you will see a shift. but if they can't prove Trump worked with the Russians you will get a big yawn fest. that's the standard the democrats created, so when it falls short its going to seem a lot less worse than it probably is. where if they had treated this with any kind of sense and let the truth come out before convicting Trump, even some minor things might have lead to the back lash they wanted. what it looks like now is they promised a home run and bunted down the 3rd base line.

we will see if Mueller ever produces this report. hopefully before Trump's term is done. - this is the part that still doesn't make sense to me, the timing.

Several late results from House races are breaking the Dems way with more to come. And of course, still waiting on the Arizona Senate race. Still showing 83% reporting.... might be done by Thanksgiving - maybe.

we were calling her ouster last year when she got elected. this time the dems actually ran a half decent candidate who actually lives there.

indeed. spending more on a 1 year seat in Congress than they did for President. If I ever run into Jon Ossof I am still going to punch him in the face. not because of any policy thing or anything. just because of all the damn advertisements.

quit nominating far left socialists candidates and maybe your party will make progress. Otherwise there isn't any law keeping you from moving to San Francisco

All early votes are supposed to be tabulated by the night before the election. 66 counties complied; 1 didn't, and 4 days later they still won't even disclose how many ballots they have.

Your head would have exploded by Wednesday if this country was in the panhandle helping a Republican.

I think they can carry out all justifiable investigations (which is their job) and do the rest of their job simultaneously. If Trump actually lasts his whole term, he will chase enough people out of his party that 2020 will take care of itself. All of this is relatively moot until Mueller releases his findings. Mueller will either sink Trump, or Trump will sink himself. My money is on Mueller.

Nobody in our local election was a far left socialist candidate. Nobody in my local election has anything to do with whether Brett Kavanaugh assaulted a woman or not.

Personally, I think It would have been nice to have a centrist like Bredesen in our Senate. Unfortunately, the Abraham Lincolns of this country are being voted out because people hate simply due to your political affiliation and do no research or care. (See post above)

My wish is political parties end. Just think, bias news would have to end, too.

You forgot option 3) mueller has nothing , liberal tears flow like a river , they spend two years trying to impeach him without proof , you get him re-elected because of those two years doing nothing , He’s your president again for 4 more years .

With the amount of liberal money that flowed into Bredesen's campaign, you darn well know he wouldn't have been a centrist and would have jumped when his financial masters ordered him to.

I understand you're idealistic, but we live in the real world where elected politicians serve at the behest of those that funded their campaigns.

That would certainly be devastatingly sad and damaging, not only for our country, but the world as a whole. But you can only hope.

Just count them. How hard a concept is that? Why is it always Republicans trying desperately to not count a vote?
