Lol, players not getting paid is the biggest sham in the world today. Like not controlling your likeness is crazy. It would be like you have an academic scholarship for computer engineering and was charged with creating apps but couldn’t profit from it. They can’t have jobs.

Coaches get millions to coach and when they suck, they get millions to leave! And literally you say they get a free education in exercise science or communications. Josh Dobbs is the exception not the standard because he was brilliant. Just like your life, the players should get paid what someone is willing to pay them. If dish network and pilot wanted to fund our entire team they could but legally and without runners and they could endorse those products.

The players get so much more than just an education, currently valued at Tennessee somewhere in the $100k range for 4 years. The additional benefits, the tutorial services, the training facilities, the meducal care, the stipends for clothing and computers, the cost attendance cash each semester, the enhanced business contacts/exposure that they make/get because they’re a vol football player, the enhanced nutrition, etc, etc. It’s more than a fair trade off, it’s a great deal for the athlete. If not for the program they commit to and play for that provide them the opportunity, they wouldn’t get ish, period

As for the coaches....why the hell shouldnt a 40 or 50 year old guy, who very likely played college football just like the guys he’s now coaching, who’s paid his dues for a decade or 2, moving himself and his family from program to program, sometimes in cities all over the country, not be paid accordingly?

And it’s asinine as hell to equate the financial situation of an 18-19 year old kid who gets treated like royalty on campus and by the fans by the way, who hasn’t accomplished ish in his short lifetime....to a coach who’s worked his craft for 15-20 years, worked his way up and is now in charge of what is essentially a multi-million dollar business. It’s as asinine as a 19 year old Arian Foster complaining about 45-50 year old coach Phil Fulmer driving a Lexus. Put in the work, work your way up, and earn it. Which, ironically, is what that idiot Foster eventually did, and likely had 5 cars at age 25 more valuable than Fulmer had when he was twice his age.

What changed
With Pappoe and Ga or Pappoe and Tn? With Pappoe and Tn, it’s just a great effort by Tn coaches continuing to press, building that relationship and not giving up. Not to mention, I feel Tn was Pappoe’s first school that he envisioned playing for, first love you might say. Pappoe/Ga, they just went their separate ways,

Missing the point. In no other walk of life do you not control your rights to your name unless you are in prison. It makes no sense that you can't earn money from your name or likeness in college. What is the reason anyone goes to college, its to get the skills and connections to get a career. I'm arguing that Athletes shouldn't be paid by the school, but rather be able to get what they are worth on the free market. Does it make sense to you that if Nike wanted to offer let's say your son 250,000 to have them wear their shoes when or if they make it to the next level. I'm saying this should not an issue because people should be able to market themselves. If KBVol's used car dealership wanted to offer a 3 star prospect a 3,000 endorsement deal to commit to UT, I feel like this should not be an issue either. Now, if the school wants to pay for education and the other perceived benefits that you listed above then go ahead, but the players should have the ability to retain the rights to their name, because this whole notion of amateurism is simply a cop out way to not let individuals that are actually putting their bodies on the line profit from it. I'm sorry, but this is a billion dollar industry and if Nick Saban and other coaches in the SEC can make millions, why can't the kids make some legit money as well. I have nothing against college coaches making money btw, I'm just saying why can't everyone profit. I mean I still don't understand why I can't play NCAA football on my Ps4. Just pay the people. I'm not trying to pick any fights btw.

He wouldn't, this is all ridiculous. It's probably Boro Vol who was wrong all the time as well.
Good call! Boro Vol couldn't predict what color socks he was wearing the next day. At first I liked him. Because he brought info. When it turned out to be wrong, which can easily happen, he would mad at people who then questioned him.

Plus he had that whole kindergarten secret with another user. Can't remember his name.
