No one is expecting a national title at all but like 20 schools.
I'd be interested to see how he does at Maryland. Don't think he'd fare well in that league, especially given the fact that he'd be at a bottom feeder program. Wherever he goes, we should schedule said school immediately.

Couple of squirts of hydrogen peroxide works like you wouldn’t believe. Reminds me of my hangovers.

Same thing with butch. The whole argument was if you are a crappy program like Maryland, and you aren’t a tn fan... i could get behind a hiring of butch. People want to act like he was the worst hire in sec history (Someone literally said that). When everything measurable like record, players recruited, players put in the league, bowl record etc. points to the fact that he’s really not that terrible... just failed miserably at TN at the end. Would i want him back at UT or another Elite program? Hell no. But if I’m Maryland, Rutgers, etc would i hire butch over say the OC at Kentucky.... yea i would think about it.

I'm not sure where the line on "not that terrible" is drawn, but I'd say butch crossed into terrible territory.

With JJ and TC banged up and unlikely to play (and maybe Tim Jordan too), along with the injuries that have piled up at safety, the 21 point spread in tomorrow's game could be very difficult. Looking like a game we are going to have to grind out in ho hum fashion.

Hopefully we can stop the run this weekend. If we can do that, then I think we can cover.

You don’t get what I’m saying.
That Florida team is made up of basically the same players as the 4-7 team. Did they upgrade that much more than us in coaching?
To be fair about this though. Those Florida players are SEC caliber players that have been in an SEC S&C program before Mullen got there. McElwain and the players knew what was coming last year and you could see the effort wasn't where it should have been.
Our program had let S&C fall back for multiple years before Rock got here, I never heard much about how he did, but the players could see the writing on the wall once the season began and we started sucking it up. There are some SEC caliber players on this team but coaching and development of this roster did not seem to be a priority for Butch and his staff, based on the on the field performance.

“We’re just trying to get J.T. ready to play,” Pruitt said after practice on Wednesday. “He spent the first half of the year on the scout team. All of our quarterbacks take reps in practice. We do a lot of good-on-good stuff, but when you start preparing for an opponent, you’re only going to work two guys. You might let a third guy get just a few reps, but not many, so they’ve got to take mental reps. (Shrout) worked the first half of the year on the scout team, and we’ve swapped him and Will, but they both take reps in practice in good-on-good.”

Glad to see that JT is getting those mental reps in.

McBride will be one of the 10-15 transfers after the season. Next year we'll have JG, Shrout, Maurer and I'm betting a grad transfer QB if they don't land Tag or maybe the kid from LA.

But it won't be, it never is. It'll be the 4-8 vs the 9-4s...forever.
I’ll do my best to keep it on the rails, but I recognize this will be a losing battle.

In the meantime, you can find me on Indeed polishing up Butch’s resumé. Were you aware that he has a career 0.609 winning percentage? If you don’t believe him, just ask him.

I agree, was just poking fun at the usage of "mental reps".
