I don't think it is. I just don't get the point of posting anything about it at all before it is out there publicly...If I found out something negative, especially something medical related that I know is going to come out publicly in a short period of time, my thought process wouldn't be to go on volnation and post something cryptic about bad news being on the horizon. Why stoke the collective fire of vol anxiety, rumormongering and conspiracy theorists on here? Makes no sense to me. Just let it come out.

Anyway, it's not a big deal. Trey's health and his NFL future are. Prayers sent for the young man.
SMH...figures Newt and b assmaster would like this junk. Why don't you guys just ignore him, and then you would never have to see his posts, and be pissed off about something he says?

God forbid someone has an opinion about the almighty insiders that isn't 110% hero-worship. You guys are ridiculous.

Thank you for your insight. That should help us get through this hard time.

Good grief, I bet you're a joy to be around.
I’m just saying there’s no point in trying to find a good combination. Our best player was out there and the line was still bad. Now he’s gone.

We can win in spite of it - as we’ve proven.

The poor kid can barely think and throw at the same time...and now you want him to learn to run, think and throw?

And yes to everybody before you get started...I have been one of his biggest supporters, but he just doesn't have...something. He is not awful, but he is not going to be consistently good either.

When I am wrong, I figure I might as well admit it instead of doubling down on it like the resident VN trolls.

Welcome to the dark side. 😈

This is so sad. Thank God he will be taken care of. Trey is an outstanding young man. If it’s not opposing DL, it’ll be business ventures he’ll be dominating. God bless you 73, get well.

And Ron, you’re a fool of you think we won’t miss a beat on the OL.
We've been missing the beat all season. Not like we're good right now on the OL. Cant get much worse is all I'm saying. Because whether Trey is in there or not the best offense we have is to hike the ball and throw it really quickly down the field and let our big physical WR's get the ball. Luckily JG and Chryst are accurate with their passes lately.

Good news is SC is bad at stopping the run so maybe we can run it some this weekend.

We shall see. There’s a reason he was playing out of position at the most important one.

It's definitely a loss, no question about it. And I feel horrible for the kid. Just saying it can't get much worse on the OL. And with an easier stretch of opponents coming up it'll probably look about the same.

I hope so, they were getting better... at least appeared that way. Now chemistry has to be reworked after something had clicked.

Someone (apologies for forgetting who) asked in Monday's chat what our personal starting five on the OL would be moving forward. Now that Smith is out, that's obviously changed. We don't know yet what Tennessee will do, but based on Pruitt's previous comments about cross-training guys so your 6th lineman becomes the backup X and not your 10th guy (i.e. Marcus Tatum) I lean toward the Vols going with Niehaus, Jahmir Johnson, Johnson, Carvin, Richmond with Hall as the super-sub.

Now, there's a case to be made for starting Hall at one of the two guard spots and giving Locklear, who isn't a 100 percent yet, a look at center. If the Vols go that route, Ryan Johnson could then slide to one of the two guard spots. Jahmir Johnson is also battling an ankle injury.

The team will play with a massive chip on their shoulder this weekend because of this

As I’ve thought about it more I wonder if this will be the case. Hope Trey can travel with the team. Rather than having a team that could potentially have locker room issues around player engagement after last weekend’s embarrassment (my worry coming into the week), this could potentially give everyone something to rally around. News like this really brings home how lucky all of the healthy ones are to still be playing ball.

We will see but there’s a chance this helps the team from an intangibles side.
