Trump has said all the right things so far today. Calling for unity and condemning these packages in the strongest terms... but you have to wonder what the rhetoric will be like at his rally tonight. 4 of his 5 favorite targets were sent these packages (CNN, Hillary, Obama and Maxine Waters). It would seem inappropriate to continue his vitriol tonight but what else does he ever talk about? I'm not sure how he would fill the time without the "CNN sucks!" and "Lock her up!" chants.
At his rally tonight, I hope the President once again calls out the FAKE NEWS MEDIA.
The members of the corporate news media HATE the president. They also HATE all of the people who voted for him.
No matter how "civil" the president is, the media will continue to egg on the violent attacks against the president and his suppoirters.[/QUOTE]
That would be rather ironic considering today's events wouldn't it? Trump can be a bull in a China shop sometimes but I assume that he is more self aware than to do that much projection in what will be a televised speech. He would look like a fool.

That guy looks like he doesn't roll on Shabbos.James Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old unemployed home inspector, had been angry with President Donald Trump, and police have said he deliberately targeted Republicans the morning of June 14. He used a Century Arms International SKS semiautomatic rifle and a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, authorities said. He had no criminal record, and the guns were purchased legally in Illinois.

He has a real chance here to rise above things and say, ok, everybody needs to cool their jets, let's talk policy.
He is being handed a chance to elevate the discourse, and on a silver platter. But I want it to be sincere, not just the teleprompter words written for him. As he's talking, let's see him take a big breath and remind folks that we are all in this together and that we need to speak with each other, not yell; listen, not attack.
I'm not expecting much, based on his track record, but he has a chance tonight to be Presidential. I don't expect it, but I'm actually rooting for him to do it.
If Jesus himself were to come back and vouch for Trump as being sincere on this particular issue, the MSM would doubt it and question his credibility.
