It's a night game at Scar after they are coming off a bye week and getting back their best defensive player and you guys are questioning why we are 8 point underdogs lol.

We were never supposed to win this game. I think we lose this one and Missouri then split UK and Vandy. 5-7

We have enough talent, but we are banged up coming off a pretty hard schedule run and SC will be rested from the bye week and will be playing at home with their crowd. We are razor thin right now with depth, have a bruised QB who some on here still think is the second coming, and several guys in the secondary that may be out along with Palmer potentially. It will be a good game, but the odds definitely fall in their favor.
People tell me Pruitt is the guy. This is the game I have circled for him to prove that to me. If he can't I'll circle the Vandy game next. If he loses both color me skeptical.

UK beat SC..... Beat USC or look real hard at finishing with Max of 4 wins IMO.

Didn't realize how big of game this is for USCe. They must win it to go to a bowl. It's more of a must win for them than us

I’m not judging him completely on year 1 results or any particular game. What’s the point? He’s our coach for at least three more years regardless of what happens Saturday. I don’t understand the motivation to peg him early and spend three years saying “told ya so because he lost to USC year one.” Just seems silly.

Bama game won't be dropped. Not with Fulmer as AD anyway. Yeah, they're light years ahead of us in talent but no one in the football complex thinks we will never be able to get to their level or be remotely competitive with them again.

Don’t disagree with you there about whether it will happen with Fulmer as AD. But we’ve beaten Florida a grand total of 7 times since 1990. We’ve faired a little better against Bama but they were also historically bad for a stretch of that. They may be at Florida’s level against us if not worse going forward.

Just end the series and problem solved

Behind this OL, probably. If JG played behind an OL that excelled in pass blocking, I think he could be really productive. Not sure we’ll have one of those too soon.

But both guys are very flawed in different ways.

Then if Chryst continues to do good with the same OL imagine how good he would be with a good OL. Now if JG had a good OL it would help him seeing how long he likes to hang on to the ball before throwing it. LOL I just wish JG would learn to go through his reads and get an awareness of what is going on around him like blitzes and overages. jmo <---------------- This means you can't flame me cause its legal. :p

Final thoughts on the Bama game and I will give it a rest. It’s clear from Saturday Vol fans are voting with their feet on the game, with many of them selling their tickets to Bama fans and students not really showing up.

Plus, who the heck has honestly enjoyed watching these games the last ten or so years. The blocked kick game in 2009 was interesting and the 2015 game we lost late was fun, but otherwise they have been so lopsided it’s not even remotely entertaining for everyone that’s not an Alabama fan. The media scoffs at the notion we can hang with Bama and we become the butt of a lot of jokes.

I see no clear end in site to that either, other than a vague hope Saban will retire in the next five or six years and they will mangle the next hire. Seems like a long time to wait for a reprieve, and there’s no guarantee it will be competitive then either.

I can almost guarantee you the Arkansas game would be competitive or lopsided in our favor pretty much every year it is played.

Consider this and then I will quit: if we had gotten rid of the Bama game years ago and were just now coming off a nice win over Arkansas, would this board be flooded with posters saying the first seven games were fun but I sure wish we were playing Bama this year? Highly doubtful.

Choice seems obvious to me and I’m pretty sure it is within our power to make.

What kind of procedure are they using for high ankle sprains, that allow them to be back in 2-3 weeks, because all the ones we have seen hamper the player the rest of the year until surgery after the season? Bama injecting some kind of voodoo to take away pain?
It may have been a platelet injection to help speed the healing. I had it done for a broken ankle with torn ligaments.
