Well even if we arent paying players (im sure we are just like every program whos trying) at least we can sell immediate playing time, player development from a great staff and the opportunity to join what i think and hope will be a program on the rise. If i tried to put myself in the mindset of a non biased top level, SEC recruit right now id want to go to UT, A&M, or Florida based on resources and tradition, recent results, trending direction and playing time opportunities. Bama, LSU and Georgia are already too loaded to get PT off the bat. Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas, Mizzou and South Carolina all seem to be heading in the wrong direction. Vandy, KY and Miss St. Are just schools that have flashes here and there but dont have the history, recruiting power or resources to make legit sustainable runs.Guys, you can't take anything from the game yesterday. Just like Coach said yesterday, it's going to take recruiting. We have to get players. We have to outbid Bama for these players. The bag men have to step up. Coach Pruitt knows how it's done. Smart at Georgia knows how it's done. Both probably have dirt on Bama so they can do it without fear of Bama turning them in. Any 5* players should be getting $50K signing bonuses. Hugh Freeze knew the formula. He just got sloppy.
Agreed. Yesterday was ugly but that was expected.
I think we can win all of our remaining games. Not saying I think we will, but I think we will have a chance.
I feel less confident about next week than any other game, just because of the situation: we're banged up, they're coming off a bye week, its a night game in their house. I think it could be trouble.
That’s because Butch was fake and Pruitt is not. The same score result on the field doesn’t quite feel the same when one is achieved by a fraud and the other is not.
Pruitt is authentic. And I think that will bode well for the program.
Love me some Kyle Phillips and Ty Chandler. Guys are tough no matter the score. Tennessee boys too.
I don't think we're that far behind most SEC teams. I think we can catch up and be competitive with most with a recruiting cycle if it's a good one. Having said that, we are grand canyon from Bama and we are losing ground to GA.Well even if we arent paying players (im sure we are just like every program whos trying) at least we can sell immediate playing time, player development from a great staff and the opportunity to join what i think and hope will be a program on the rise. Yep. Butch has been spitting in our face for about the last 18 months or so. It is not surprising that he continues to do that to the people that supported him and his family for close to 5 years and gave him financial security for the rest of his life. Eff him.Wow, Butch went full douche canoe yesterday didn’t he?
Agreed. That Nebraska team was dominant but they could not have stopped that Bama O at all. They would have scored some points because they were so dang good at the option attack, but not nearly enough to win the game.I agree. This Bama team is ridiculous. They pound ‘95 Nebraska. And yes I’m old enough to remember. Different eras blah blah. This team is different. Effortless dominance so far
