The ugly losses to those teams and the Vandy's of the world is what makes me really despise Butch.

I don't despise Butch like most here do. I think he did a solid job here but just wasn't good enough to take us to the next level. I think the program was better when he left it than when he got it so that means a little to me.

I would buy that and would not despise him per se if he had not given us our worst record in history and helped lead us to the Schiano debacle.

Perfect storm last year imo. Butch was always the slogan guy with coach speak that had an exasperation date. The players finally tuned him out and it was over.

I just think teams that get mentioned as being one of the greatest teams of all time before they've actually played anybody of significance sounds fishy.

Sure the red team looks great. But teams that actually do dominate everybody they play every single week in this conference are few and far between.

Odds say Bama is going to run into somebody along the way this year that pushes them and makes them have to play great to win.

Most say that game is LSU. But it could be us y'all. That's all I'm saying.

I’ll be honest. I don’t even know what a crumpet is. I make some of the best scones you’ve ever tasted though. Only had one that was better.

Little known fact... your boy went to culinary school and ran a small bakery/cafe in SE Asia for some time

We have a lot in common believe or not. Been in the ministry for many years and for 15 years traveled pretty much around the world doing mission work with my dad who is a well know Evangelist and President of the overseas ministry for 25 yrs. Just throwing this in here real quick mods for Nick now back to are regular scheduled program.

It won't be until the playoff imo. LSU nor georgia is good enough to do it

Hey Invol haven't seen you post much this week. What I am looking for this Saturday is continued improvement. Yes would love to see upset but being a realest I know UA would have to have a bad day of football. Just give me 100% of never give up and show somemore improvement like wiping out silly penalties and mistakes that cost us like fumbles.

Teams are more than the individual parts. It will take 100% focused effort by our team to have any shot to win and Bama will have to be playing at 80% or less due to talent and depth disparity. That includes the coaches, which is a big unknown with ours. They have some weaknesses despite all the wailing and gnashing of teeth. We will have to exploit them to the fullest. Isn't it fun to even consider it as a remote possibility for a change?

But in this case we have a coach that has bigtime national title football on his resume. Kiffin had it as well and we know how that turned out. Pruitt has it even more so with winning titles at two different places

To be fair, you probably should also mention that Kiffin had “NFL head coach” on his resumé

Don’t want to embarrass. Her company is paying for my 40 dollar 3oz beef fillet. Smh

We were at a conference last year in Chicago, and my co worker and I ordered cowboy cut bone in Rib eyes. They were like 48oz, unbenounced to us...was like a $250 steak! We felt like asses for the rep that was treating us. This was all on top of the multiple $40 bourbons we were pounding!!

Obviously, after last week I feel a tad bit better. If we had a little more depth I would feel even better. We proved we could hit the long ball so that means Bama will have to be aware of throwing over the top. This will keep them from stacking 8 in the box. I think it boils down to whether we can block them rushing 4. I think if we run it inside on first and second down every series of downs and rely on 3rd and 8-10, we're in for a very long day.

Conversely, our young secondary will be tested. If Tua has a week and a day to sit back and have a tea party, we're doomed. Hopefully, coach will have some special blitzes dialed up.

We have a chance albeit a small one.
