Not true. Bama fans don't care that he didn't go to school there. Bear Bryant will always be Bama personified but Saban will be the GOAT to Tide fans and to everyone else. He already is but he'll rattle off another 2-3 NCs to render the question moot. He'll make it essentially impossible for anyone to surpass him, ala John Wooden.

I didn't get on VN until 2012, were there really posters that were afraid Dooley would leave for GA. Never, at any point, was I afraid of losing Dooley to another school.

Yep. After he got us to a bowl game in 2010 people were worried about it. I think some UGA fans actually wanted him too because Richt had two bad seasons in a row in Athens.

Mario Christobal (sp?) was an analyst his first season at Alabama and he's at Oregon now. My bad, this isn't true. he was hired as asst head coach and recruiting coordinator. I do think Mike Locksley started out as an analyst. Time will tell whether he gets another head coach gig.

Point being, unless Butch does a rise through the ranks as a coordinator on a successful team, I can't imagine him getting a decent D1 job. North Texas or SC Upstate await...

Allows the defense to know who the eligible receivers are on any given play.

We just think you gotta have a Tennesee guy because of Majors and Phil. Right now, Phil is back as our Tennessee guy, If Pruitt is so successful here that Bama offers him a gawd awful amount of money to go to his alma mater, I guess we'll be aight.
