You mean that Butch had a role in the game planning against the team they scored the least amount of points so far this season?

Shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
Did the article say that Saban actually used anything from Butch's game planning or that Butch simply got to game plan most of the games.?

I let my grandson play with the tv remote but I don't actually let him pick out what we're going to watch...

Which confirms what I have been posting about Auburn/Mahlzahn's offenses for a few years on here. I knew CJP had a handle on it from his previous experience. The basic scheme of the O is still the one he first used in HS in Springdale, AR before he went into collegiate coaching. Most quality DC's figured it out years ago. Any scheme will work if you have the best players, however, they don't. So they have become totally defense dependent to be being successful.

Stop with this. He's not even a full season in and Saban has like an eternity left in the tank. Just friggin stop with the paranoia

I agree it isn't worth discussing if Saban does have a lot left in the tank. I don't think he coaches more than a few more years.

In one way I hope I am wrong about How long he coaches but in another I hope I am right.

I think he may walk away after this year if he goes 15-0

And you think Alabama would hire Pruitt after a lone 7-6 year at Tennessee..?

I just think 'premature' is the understatement of all understatements with this hypothetical. It's not even worth a second thought until we know what we got.

I absolutely think they hire him after this first year if Dabo says no. Beating auburn validates him to Bama very much so imo

Bama people see what Smartt is doing at Georgia and see him As a real threat. His success is another reason Pruitt would be seen very favorably in the eyes of Bama folks

If Pruitt has enough success here that Bama comes calling when Saban retires then I'll be one happy MFer. As long as Fulmer is still AD then we'll be in a situation to go after a big time replacement because this would mean UT is back to national relevance and a roster full of top talent. We'll have big time coaches knocking down the door. This would be several years down the road though. 1. CJP has nowhere near proven himself enough to be considered taking over for the best coach in college football history if Saban were to retire in the next couple years. 2. Saban probably has at least 5 more years left in him. Didn't he just sign an extension until 2024?

I leave you bloats for one hour and we’re crowning Pruitt as Saban’s successor.

I know how Moses felt after he came down from the mountain with God.... bunch of knuckleheads casting golden calf idols. Smh

Many people, especially in the FF have been saying Pruitt is Saban's successor since he was hired.

However, the Butch effect is occurring in Bama. A number of their starters are out with injuries. Hmmm.

Let's at least wait until Pruitt wins the SEC East before worrying about him being hired away. Beating SCAR, UK, Vandy and Mizzou, getting those extra bowl practices and signing a big recruiting class is enough to worry about this year.

You don't VN, do you?
