The talent is somewhat adequate on OL, too. Was development good? No. I understand that it takes time to add strength and develop players physically and mentally, but pieces are there.

Secondary was weak, but you still had several who were 4/5 stars. Pruitt found gold when he got Thompson to come.

But please don't compare this team to 2013. It's just not a good comparison.

Dave Neal has been calling SEC games for almost 30 years... He was on the Jefferson pilot broadcast back in the day and rolled in the noon slot on sec network..

If our offense plays like it did Saturday we’ll have a real chance at 8-4. Been very critical of Helton so far but he definitely called a much better game. Maybe it was because of the bye week, or because he’s on the sidelines. But if this continues Pruitt will have us “back” in no time

First, I didn't compare anything.

Second, just stating what most, with two eyes and sense, can see...in that our OL was, and for the most part still is, a mess. If you want to justify the signings of Niehaus, Tatum, or Calbert, and others, knock yourself out. Niehaus, nor Tatum, weighed more than 260 when they signed, in the same class I may add, and Calbert was gonna take 2 to 3 yrs just to get back from HS injuries (plural).
If those kids become solid, it has everything to do with Will Friend and Craig Fitzgerald.

The secondary, if you want to talk stars...not one single 5 star in our secondary, so I have no idea what you're talking about there, and Warrior and Osborne are the only 4 stars, that Pruitt didn't bring in.

It helps get more spin/control on the ball.

But idk if that guy has tar because the outside of your forearm would be about the dumbest place to hide it. Normally it’s the bill of the cap or behind the neck.

So what's the difference netween rosin and pine tar?

Rosin is legal and helps with grip right?

Rosin bags keep their hands dry. Absorbs moisture. Pine tar is obviously an addition to your hand. An advantage at creating more spin.

Rosin is legal because it prevents a wild pitch from plunking guys in the gourd.

Pine tar tremendously increases your spin rates, which have been shown to be one of the biggest things for pitchers that get a ton of swings and misses (because of more movement). As analytics have changed pitchers with pine tar is a pretty big deal in terms of cheating.
