He was slow to react and get there. He did like to deliver some hits though.

I honestly didn’t realize Alontae even played that much other than the touchdown. Was he playing inside or did he spell Buchanan?

Pretty sure 6 was the every down CB with 28 playing inside.

Agreed on 12. Wasn't he the one that would have given up the TD without the drop?

Definitely concerned about the safety position. Warrior is ok on 1 side but Theo Jackson can't play. Is Shamburger gonna play there?

Yes. I didn’t think Trey Smith had that great of a day. Got beat on several plays by DE.
As a whole the o line struggled. We weren't exactly productive from a yards per carry standpoint.

But they did protect. And in a game like that where we had to make plays down field.... They were pretty good...

It's not a terrible point that both Butch and Dooley won decent games in their first years. We almost beat LSU and did beat UNC in that bowl game in 2010. In 2013, we beat USC thanks to Marquez North.

But, this Auburn game feels a bit different.

Away.
Broke the SEC streak.
Broke the SEC-west streak.
Broke the away SECw streak.
Broke the Auburn streak.

I think this team just bought into themselves.

I think we finish 8-4 or 7-5.

That really helps with recruits, guys in the system now, coaches getting their legs underneath them, etc.

Felt good to have Phil in the locker room chanting after the W also.

A win over Auburn is always going to feel better than a win over SCar or Ole Miss. It just is.
Not only all those but we were on a losing streak to every team in the sec in both divisions.
