My 74 year old father, one of the most gentle humans you will ever find (daddy’s girl, here), has always smoked as long as I remember. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and bi polar a few years ago. When he was first diagnosed, he was off the map with his mood, but my mother and family agreed that it was best for him to continue to smoke and be happy. No, it’s not something I do, but it has made him a little better and settled. That’s all that matters for me for him, as some of you that have family members going through the same thing and know. I’ve changed my thinking and think it needs to be legalized and with restrictions (that’s what the government will do anyway).

Sufferers of Parkinson's and epilepsy also stand to benefit humongously.

Been thinking about trying CBD oil for pain. I know it's legal in TN, but I'm not sure how or where to get it. Don't really want to order it online. I'd rather buy it in an actual shop.

Find a shop AND a reputable clerk that knows what they are talking about. Like anything, some brands are junk. Good cbd is not cheap. The stuff I take, retails for $140 a 30ml bottle.

I am in the business of helping people not hurting them and would never recommend something that is knkw to hurt. That being said MJ is natural and has never killed anyone in the over 5000 known years of usage. It has very minimal side effects (getting hungry and being able to sleep). I would take that over all the side effects all those pharmaceuticals do to people. May he have a happy healthy rest of his years.

They poorly regulated the amount of dispensary licenses, and made it easy for everyone to get one.

Fill me in on exactly why this is a bad thing?

Economics 101 (and I understand it's not that simple) says low barriers to entry is key to a robust marketplace. I can understand maybe too saturated of a market, maybe shortages of supply..? Just curious.

That's the one area Co went wrong in and everyone will learn from. They poorly regulated the amount of dispensary licenses, and made it easy for everyone to get one.
I know I'm WV, it will be regulated much like liquor licenses, only so many avail, and will be a bid process set on time period. Liquor is every 10 years, it hasn't been stated officially yet tho. They are giving 30 permits for medical dispensaries statewide. Given tho, wv only has 1.8m population.
yes it does need to be regulated as not get out of control. But I think the ultimate plan would be to allow people to grow there own. Always been my dream to grow my own medicine. Which is why Big Pharma is absolutely the biggest opposition.

Where do you live? - Edit - reason I was asking I know Mac's Medicine Mart sells it in Kingsport. There's a shop in Jonesborough that sells it too.

I'm in Knoxville. I haven't actually been out yet to look, but it's been suggested I try vapor stores and head shops.

How long does a 30ml bottle normally last?

My mother used to fuss about it during the 70’s and 80’s about it, but she now sees that it keeps him calm, doesn’t help with the memory., hell, she will go get a score now, lol.

Depends on which side of the fence you're on. From my side, proprietary side, loose regulations on availability cuts down on money to be made in the private sector. California is the same.
We are looking at it from a business opportunity stance. Even tho my wife and I use cbd and mj daily (me not so much on the mj), we believe in the medical benefits of the plant. On the flip side, as business owners in a similar industry (tobacco/liquor stores) we see the opportunity.
From a consumer standpoint, yes, saturation would be ideal to drive down cost. However, I think CO and Ca do a good job of keeping retail prices similar across the board. The price is the same all over, just many more places to buy. Certainly no price wars like gas, cigs, beer and liquor.

Cannabinoid hyperemesis and the cyclic vomiting syndrome in adults: recognition, diagnosis, acute and long-term treatment

I see 2-3 patients a week that are daily MJ users with cyclic vomiting syndrome...

I coded an 18 year old several times after developing a fungal pneumonia from smoking weed. He didn’t make it. Rare... absolutely but let’s not speak in absolutes.

Basement growers with zero sanitary regulations I'm willling to bet?!
A licensed grow op is one the cleanest, most regulated places you will ever walk into.

That's why we need it legalized so it can go through all the regulations to check for harmful pesticides and mold. I just dont think it was the mj that does that. It is known the cartels use harmful pesticides on it.
