One of the teammates of the boy getting assaulted should have cleaned that boy's clock. Someone should have thrown a full speed should to the ole helmet and returned the favor. I don't advocate playing dirty unless the other team is dirtying it up. Then go all out.

We actually had a situation in a volleyball game Saturday where a girl on the other team said out loud that she was going to punch my daughter in the face because during warm ups she was unintentionally hit by a ball. When my daughter told me what was said I told her to aim for the girls face the entire game. She never hit her in the face but she embarrassed the girl by constantly hitting at her and getting points. We won the tourney because the girl ran her mouth.

I'm not violent by nature but when it goes that way you have to stand up for yourself and make the other guy/gal pay. I'd much rather hash things out over a cup of coffee but some folks only learn that way.

Everybody's been saying UT needs luck to get an upset W this year-- so now we're getting some. We have an early kick, Auburn's offense looks as listless as ours, they have QB issues that seem to be affecting the locker room, Auburn students are on break and UT is coming off a bye. The coaches and players had two weeks to prepare for this game. So once again, the Vols have an opportunity to get a big W. Can they capitalize?

That remains to be seen. We haven't seen any grade point average reports.

Yes they can win .

That caller, "Marty from the Ozarks" was spoofing the Netflix show "Ozark" (lead character is named "Marty Bird" played by Jason Bateman). The caller also made a shout out to a kid named "Wyatt Langmore" who was having an 'excellent season for his HS team.' Wyatt Langmore is another character on the show. None of Hubbs, Kesling or Pruitt got the reference or understood the joke.

Here's the transcript of the call:

MARTY IN LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MO.
Marty: “Hey guys, how you doing? Coach Pruitt, it’s my honor to talk to you.”
Pruitt: “Marty, how you doing?”
Marty: “Doing well. I had a question. Coach, you know, you’ve always been known as a phenomenal coach and really an excellent recruiter, but when you were doing that you were at top-notch programs, and I’m just wondering what’s different about trying to recruit kids to come to a rebuilding program. We’ve seen people like (Will) Muschamp and other coordinators do that, Mark Stoops, who came here into our area, and seemed to be an area of competition to convince (Kentucky running back Benny Snell) to leave the state of Missouri to come to Kentucky. I’m curious, how, how hard is that? I want to give a shoutout to my neighbor’s boy, Wyatt Langmore, who’s got a chance to break the single-season passing touchdown record here at Ozark High School. I’ll hang up and listen. Oh, I’ll wait for the prize.”
Bob Kesling: “Yeah, do that Marty.”
Pruitt: “Well Marty, let me tell you something, OK? First of all, the University of Tennessee is a top-notch program. I wouldn’t have came here if it wasn’t. I believe in the people, the administration in our program. I believe in our coaches. I believe in our football players. Are we where we need to be today? No, we’re not, OK? But I know the direction that we’re going, the people in our program know the direction that we’re going and I can tell you this, the recruits across the country know where we’re going. We’re gonna stay the course, we’re gonna continue to do what we believe in and I think you’ll be proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer again.”
EDITOR’S NOTE No. 1: The first “Vol Calls” caller gets a prize package from Calhoun’s, the restaurant that hosts “Vol Calls.”
EDITOR’S NOTE No. 2: Benny Snell is from Westerville, Ohio, which is located near Columbus.
EDITOR’S NOTE No. 3: Wyatt Langmore is a character in the Netflix show ‘Ozark,’ which is based in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Marty is the name of Jason Bateman's character on the show. We here at GoVols247 have no idea how to process what happened on this call.

The best of 'Vol Calls,' Auburn week

Either I have lowered my expectations of Tennessee football so low or perhaps have an extreme case of BVS.

Debatable, however several AU alum in our Atlanta office say there is a mutter going around within the fan base that losing to Tennessee would cement and expedite getting rid of Malzhan, and they feel that would be a good thing.

I can't help but think I would be extremely satisfied to be at the current level of Auburn.

Yeah, they beat what will likely be the PAC 12 champ earlier this year, and last year beat both Alabama and Georgia on their to an SEC championship game appearance as well as a NY6 bowl appearance. The fans calling for Malzahn's head are the same as the ones here that wanted Fulmer fired.

Auburn has problems, but they are a good team. Until we start executing literally everything better offense (Blocking, catching, route running, throwing etc..) We are not beating any good teams.

Maybe this week will be the week the OL finally starts playing consistenly better...maybe.

Jesus, Mexico Beach is nearly completely gone. I have been there many times. Got married just down the beach at Port St. Joe. So sad.

That's insane. I've stayed there a few times. It looks like the building we stayed in is gone. I really, really hope the people left.
