Wtf is a "wham/pick" play? I've only ever heard "wham" as a term related to run-blocking. I've never heard it as a reference to anything related to passing.

Pick plays are where two receivers run routes that cross each other and legally try to jam up one of the defenders to free that receiver up to make the catch..

Maybe a Wham play is where the TE takes out another receiver's defender within 5 yards of the LOS?

Yea i guess he’s grouping them both together. Since they are basically both blocking. You are right tho a wham block is usually on a counter when the DT goes free and the tightend comes back and nails him from the side. The patriots do it ALL THE TIME with Gronk.

The media saw two sessions and here were the notable observations…

Still at Disney. Trying to check in periodically. I have to keep checking to make sure I'm not in the FF from the posts I've seen haha. Miss anything important? Lots of Vol families here. Had dinner in Cinderella's castle tonight and the only three tables in our little section were all Vol baby! I love it!

Enjoy it! Get a Lefou’s Brew and Dole Whip for me.

It stinks Jalen Hurd insisted on being an out of position RB out of HS.

Classic example of a coach letting a kid decide in order to sign him, but it ends up being detrimental. Usually they get switched in practice, but he stuck at RB. Could have been an all time great at WR here and been in the NFL by now. Now, mixed legacy at TN, but will still get to the NFL

Who saw him as a WR? I don’t ever recall that. TE or SS but never heard WR.

I think the correct answer here is: a competent coach should have?

What’s crazy is that he was not so much out of position, but out of system, split some carries, and yet still should have walked out of UT in 3 years being the all-time leading rusher.

He’s a freak athlete who could’ve played TE to the highest level as well.

Pruitt on vol calls:

“Well Marty, let me tell you something, OK? First of all, the University of Tennessee is a top-notch program. I wouldn’t have came here if it wasn’t. I believe in the people, the administration in our program. I believe in our coaches. I believe in our football players. Are we where we need to be today? No, we’re not, OK? But I know the direction that we’re going, the people in our program know the direction that we’re going and I can tell you this, the recruits across the country know where we’re going. We’re gonna stay the course, we’re gonna continue to do what we believe in and I think you’ll be proud to be a Tennessee Volunteer again.”

He could have been a quitter at WR too.
