No he didn’t. He was looking at JG and saw he was being tackled and turned his head to Minkah. If he was actually trying to block someone he would have went for #49 who was actually going towards the pile. Minkah was simply jumping over his teammate so he didn’t stomp on him lolNot the same kind of play. Smith had his back to ball carrier and the defender was making a play to get to the ball.
Very different than trailing the play looking to cheap shot someone that had stopped on the play at the pile
I’d rather my Oline be mean or a “bully” and hated by opposing fans than be softYep. Same type of play.
Thing is, I’m 100% okay with both. Neither were an attempt to hurt someone. Both guys playing through the whistle and right up to the line. Love it. That attitude is part of why both were/are playing at a high level as freshmen.

There can be a difference and both still be “dirty”. The only real difference is Minkah is half his size and was moving(still outta the play) and Alexis was standing still. Both played to the whistle, both saw the ball carrier rapped up and both easily could have stoppedLol. See what you want to but big difference between training the play

Sorry but I have watched that video 10 times and I can't say that smith knows for sure the tackle was made. His eyes are away from the play from my view
