Ok guy. It's some real high level "jock sniffing" to laugh at someone who said that the guy who has sat and will sit the whole year , "wasn't brought here to sit the bench." It's pretty obvious he was brought to sit the bench because that is where he has and will be.

But I guess you still think the qb race hasn't been decided.

It's over. JG is much better than any qb on the roster. He will be the starter the next few years unless Maurer comes in playing like Trevor Lawrence.

CJP is not going to do anything to hurt JG's confidence....
He is the starter till he gets hurt...or
CJP puts KC in a game for a series or 2 in the 1st half and he takes the team down the field and scores 2 TD's...
Then CJP might leave KC in the rest of the game

I am so glad the coaches know who the better QB is since they see him everyday in practice. We have all seen Keller play and it has been unimpressive! What makes you think we should make a change.

i mean after seeing them both play and what you said.......it can only be 1 reason. rainbows, crayons, markers, current tv versus when they first came out.........i mean if it is honestly anything else........i cant seem to fathom it

the TEAM is playing much better, but let's re-open the qb competition....because this fan doesn't like us having one of them starting at qb.

yeah, that makes sense.

some fans will want competition until JG leaves. we could be undefeated and it still would not be enough

KC led UT to its TD drives vs UF. JG was under 40% and didn't protect the ball.

The UGA game was 24-0 before UT mounted a scoring drive. At that point, JG was 5 for 9 and had been ineffective leading the O to scores. He didn't start having success until the game was out of reach. That's not something you use to say he "played well".

I'm not saying I know better than the coaches. It isn't my job on the line for sure. Just stating an opinion... to your predictable kneejerk, thoughtless reaction.

I haven't seen KC do anything particularly impressive either. But he's the back up and when your starter isn't leading the O to points... he's who you go to.


Now you can go ahead with 20 posts claiming that JG has done everything right and everything is someone else's fault...

Personally, I don't know if Chryst could lead the offense better as a starter or not but the QB play displayed last week is not winning football. For all the talk about the QB can't commit turnovers for this team to have a JG lays a huge egg in a game we needed to win. I know, I know the offensive line is not great but it is what it is. This is not 7 on 7 shell drills where the pocket stays clean.

I want our QB to be more than tough, I want him to know how to win.

I have seen enough of Chryst to know that he is probably the 3rd best QB on the team. I know they want to red shirt the Freshman from Ca, but if JG is injured and can not play, we are in a deep of trouble.

No QB has ever won a game by himself. People stammer on and on about KCs "record." Its not his record, its the team he played ons record. Did they have those wins with KC as QB? Yes. But he didnt start those games in the SEC. And compare his stats to JGs. When you do, ask yourself what team had the better OL, WRs, RB and defense. Oh and who had the better coaching staff? Just saying KC had this winning record, therefore he is better, is lunacy.

Having said all that, if Pruitt thnks KC is better and plays him, fine by me. But it should be telling that KC, a SR, has failed to beat out a RS SO who many have said isnt a good QB.

Okay, except I didn't say any of that.

The guy said KC has had more wins as a starter and I said that was factual.
I also said that I didn't put much stock into that because it's a team game.

Claiming to know the results of hypothetical QB play, is not my thing. I'll leave that to everyone else. There's enough posters here already claiming that on both sides.

In fairness Chryst has only thrown 13 passes and completed 7 with one for a TD. Dunno if that is unimpressive. The coaches haven't really let him throw when he goes in. (To say he is unimpressive off of 13 throws is a little ridiculous)

I honestly liked Chrysts roll out throw in the Florida game. Does that make him the better QB no. It's JG until it isn't at this point.

There is a article in Knox news that says vols coaches have confidence in JG to throw but not to speak to the media and then I got to thinking I have never heard him talk. I can't read the article cause I don't pay. Has anyone read this?
